BOV - The myths and the truths
#51
I have had my HKS BOV VTA with the Dejon CP's for almost 1 year (It will be 1 year in July). That was stock, and it ran fine. I now also have the GMS1, and still no problems! Ernie (Negrita SS) installed the CP's & BOV for me. He did a FANTASTIC job! I am NOT using a block-off plate. And I am not using a MAF Relocation setup either. I have no trouble with it at all. I make the same power similar LNF's make and I don't surge or flutter at all. Here is a picture on how he wired it up:

The HKS should come with a "T" split. And you can see in that diagram (It's my car) on how it's routed & tapped off of the vac line.

my interceptor shows my car going rich between shifts. The car enters the mode terminator was talking about sometimes, but from what i witnessed only under a higher RPM. theres plenty of times i let off and my A/F reads rich. I believe i have a video to prove it.
But i still run my HKS BOV, and i DONT run a block off plate b/c i feel if both BPV and BOV are performning propely, a certain amount of air still makes its way back into the recirc line, and i know this to be true as I have the hahn intake and you can clearly tell under low boost it sounds alot like a normal hahn BPV sound. Well I have no surging and flutter with this setup, and I hear mostly the HKS on let off. Vacuum lines are not "T"'d into my Intake manifold line, there T'd into the Stock BPV line.
