Charge piping question

Since the search function here is still garbage.
What will the stock charge piping hold as far as boost. I was thinking on raising my boost a little to Around 18-20 psi.

You will be fine with that. Gms1 is 21 or 22 I believe. I'd say anything over 24psi and you should change it. The upper cold side is the one that goes. Or the intercooler and plastic **** around it.

20 Psi should be fine, however I would save for a "just in case" the plastic upper pipe is known to crack pretty easily. WIth 20psi itll be pretty much max its limit so itll be a gamble. But honestly just get the zzp pipee it looks better and wont burst on you randomly.

ive ran them up to 26psi just to see if its do able and its doable for a little while but i DO NOT recommend it. they expand a lot. id say anything past 22psi i would upgrade.

change it no matter what u run, some blow, some don't. plastic doesn't belong on a boosted car.

Exactly. People have blown apart the charge pipes and intercooler end tanks on even a factory tune. It gets brittle with heat and age and just loses integrity.

Also the rubber hoses built into the factory charge pipes are garbage, especially the upper charge pipe.
