Direct bolt-on turbo (ko4 replacement)
So, this has kind of been talked about on here in different ways over and over, but we do not have a list of stock turbo replacements on here. Not full turbo kits, just the turbo itself that is bolt-on to the stock set-up.
[B]
1. ZZP zfr = ??? complete bolt-on with no mods needed - 500whp max - ZFR Turbo #EFR
2. Pwerks k04+ = $2300, or $1100 with core - complete bolt-on with no mods needed - 400whp max The Home of WERKSracing products!
3. Pwerks WR-2 - $2600, $1860 with core and forge bpv - no mods needed - 450whp max
4. Hahn 20g = $1100, new chargepipe/bov needed - 450whp max Cobalt 2.0 Performance
5. BNR 2860 = $900 with core - complete bolt-on with no mods needed, but only gains 20whp midrange over stock
6. BNR 2871 = $1200 with core - 400whp max, new chargepipe/bov needed http://api.viglink.com/api/click?for...13419245662581
7. Precision Turbo upgrade - $1200 for a 15% increase over stock turbo
[B]
Please, if you have any more, please post the info and i will add it to the list. thanks

dont forget the BNR 2871. same as 20g will need charge pipe and BOV to compliment the bolt ons.
and well worth it IMO. No charge pipes needed, closest to stock spool with over 100whp capabilities of stock turbo. And it is next generation technology turbo. ZFR FTW

My only problem is at 450hp the turbo will be at its max range of power.
The 6758 won't be and will take less boost to make 450hp.

Yeah if I ever swap my turbo out it will be for a BNR2871. Its sold by bnrsupercars.com
Good for a direct bolt on, but needs a BOV/Charge pipes.

Some need more dyno #'s. Im sure I can smash the pump gas #'s for the BNR I just need to dyno. IIRC everyone thinks 350-360 on 26psi with the BNR for pump but I dynoed higher on a base tune with 91.

The 450whp figure was E85 with the lobe, or 93 and no other fuel adders, if I remember right. With fueling, you can go higher with the EFR/ZFR, so it should be placed higher if you're talking about just the turbo itself (which you should... fueling is another topic that affects everything across the board).

So in your case: 40lbs/min would translate to like 400WHP on our car in good conditions with E85/mix, from what I've seen.

Well, the traditional rule is: lb/min X 10 = HP .... but on our car (especially on E85) we're typically more efficient than that, and can get around that at the wheels on E85/mix.

Id take the BNR2860 off that list. Dont want to give someone the idea to go buy it. I had it cause its a direct replacement with no BOV required. I was the second person to buy it. Anyways, all three of us that dynod on the 2860 picked up about 20whp inthe midrange but stayed flat the rest of the way to redline and we only hit an avg of about 315whp LOL...ALL OF US.
I sent it back and he sent me the 2871...MUCH MUCH BETTER turbo and thats the one everyone buys now.
JUST FYI the 2871 he sells now is much better that the original design. I have the original design and its not as fast as the one he sells now. He changed the wheels to a lighter alloy and modified the angle of the blades. He also has redesigned the spacer that he sends with it. It used to have a divider in the middle of it mimicking the exhaust mani setup, but he found that ppl were having that piece get really hot and blow out sending debris into the exhaust wheel and damaging it. The spacer he sends now doesnt have that devider.
Anyways, BNR knows his stuff and is an awesome guy. The 2871 is a GREAT option to bolt on and go
