Direct bolt-on turbo (ko4 replacement)

There is nothing that Performance Autowerks can do about it. It all is on precision and them coming thru. They were ******* around and **** has been slow getting to Pwerks

yeah try a little over two months, but good things come with time i guess...? So I'll just patiently wait.

im just going to step in here to say this..... there has been some issues in getting these turbos to the market without a doubt and we are about over the biggest hurddle. theres was a lot of mis communication and what not going on and in order to do these things a certain amount of housings is needed to be supplied with a lot of back and forth until we were happy with everything. we were not going to release junk to anyone and we need these things as perfect as possible. so we ponied up and went the extra mile supplying the remainder of housings to percision to make this happen for everyone every though not all of them are sold. everyone thats being patient we GREATLY GREATLY appreciate it being patient and good things will come to those who wait.

i am really not trying to start anything here, but what makes that turbo worth so much more than the zfr or bnr? does it have a better power range or more torque or is a simpler install?...sorry, i just was really excited about it until i saw the price. 2500 is a lot of money...

i would imagine it's not an issue just use the normal k04 block off plate,i also like that no else really has it... kinda sticks out among the zfr crowd

I wonder how reliable it is...
I wonder how he'd hold up against a 2013 GT500 (because I know someone who is having theirs built right now)...

2013 GT500: 662HP / 3,850 lbs = ~0.172 power-to-weight
0.172(HP/lbs) * 2,800 (lbs) = ~481.6HP <-- Amount of crank HP you'd probably need to be competitive.
Obviously it doesn't take into account gearing, transmission losses, traction, and aerodynamics, but it's at least a rough idea if you're doing paper racing.

I think I knew the answer to that.
ZFR or WR2 are the two I'm somewhat considering. I'm pretty conflicted right now with my car. Sell or keep is the decision.
It's about to be paid off and I can rock a no car payment experience throughout college or sell it while its hot type of mentality since it only has 27k miles 09.
Of course if I keep it, there's a lot of things I wanna do.

just as a good piece of advice, keep your car and pay it off. I'm 32 and had numerous cars and situations with payments and no payments, and no matter what you get, the no payment is the best route. Plus, i am still looking at cars, and the cobalt ss/tc is still the best bang for buck period. The 5.0 mustang is second, but is 30k, so its not worth the debt....
good luck

Anyway I know the harder less glamorous decision, which also agrees with your wisdom, is probably the right one; keeping it. *sigh* if only I could have cake and eat it too or in this case, one cake for eating and one to just have haha
I know, it probably makes more sense. Except I just read a person having charge pipe issues. So a ported k04 seems like less headache. Even you IIRC had to work around some install issues. I could be wrongly assuming here, but I imagine a modded K04 would be the perfect fit. My K04+ though the smallest gains to be had was literally plug and play

I agree with this. Seems stupid for the price of a ported k04.
