Or you can have JR Competition down here do it for you. They are 10min from my house and I can check on it for you while it's down here and send you tons of pics. They are great guys and their shop is just amazing to walk around. They have a 68 Camaro next to my car that makes 1100whp, its a pro skaters ride who is sponsored by DC shoes. Then, there are all the Corvettes you can think of from classic to ZR1, just chilling. Dude, just either drive it down or get a U-haul and bring it down. They'll take care of you. Check them out on Facebook.

Everyone seems to quickly forget that before any of this, the trans will let go. The HP really isn't the thing to worry about so much as the torque and its delivery. Boost ramp can only do so much. That LNF trans will let go. Of course there are those that get away with it (Ford comes to mind) but in general, thats the first thing I would be worried about when you get to the kind of torque levels that come with 400whp (380-450wtq). Yikes...

(because I'm pretty sure packaging changed after the first pressing)

There are many cars, Cobalt, or otherwise, which are using transmissions behind engines which totally surpass their torque capacity.

Its been almost 3 weeks now and they are finishing her up. I'm thinking of sending my Turbo out though whilel they finish her up for an upgrade. That might set it back a few days.

I think the rate at which it comes in has to do with most of it but for those of us who have purchased our Cobalts used, you never know how the previous owner treated it. So that plays a role. Also, I seriously believe NLSing doesn't help the cause AT ALL.

K04+ isn't seeming too bad now for me. 91 octane at 350whp seems like a safe level of power and doing a E47 here and there for 30-40 more whp keeps me right below 400whp, but then again all these other turbos can be tuned for less power if they want where as I'm maxed around 350 on 91

Ive never had transmission issues. Been tuned since 3k. NLS like nobodies business...ask Stamina. I busted a ringland...replaced with WISECOS back in feb of 2010. Then upgraded to the 2860 which yielded no real gains except for about a 20whp increase in the midrange. Sucked ass so I went to the 2871. Still NLSd with that tuned for 26psi. I didnt have major issues until I installed the stupid supertechs myself which cause a whole SLEW of cascading failures. Dealt with that for a year until I finally replaced the head with a brand new stock one, rebuilt the BNR and slapped it all together again. Car is strong and knock on wood....my tranny is still in one piece

So, you think I should do 3rd gear pulls on dyno instead of 4th? I'm not trying to blow my tranny up the day before I go to the event LOL. Actually, I'm not trying to blow it up at all!!
