When 40rty gets his car back and the weather clears up. Me n him gotta meet up and have a go. EFR vs BNR

Made 368 whp and 446 wrtq at 24 psi max no huge boost spike with stock turbo on E-85 with the car right on the edge of injection window misfire (6.2-6.5 Ms injection times up at 6500-7200 RPMs even with ZZPs big fuel lobe cams, 2500 psi rail pressure holding throughout (tried higher but would not hold over 2500 psi no matter what I commanded) and a very advanced injection angle
those are pretty good numbers on 27psi David. I think I am goona go the conservative/cheap route, and go with the old school s20g or revised bnr myself. What do you suggest? I was thinking Hahn s20g since not many have it on here, but I am worried i wont break the 400whp/400wtq mark safely on it with what i have(full bolt-ons)

27 PSI on that is pretty much maxed out tho I do believe. You could go with the s20g, but I believe it will be tough to get to that 400 mark consevativly persay. Don't think it's impossible, just depends on the tuner and what fuel you decide to run

Just face it, you're not gonna get any aftermarket turbo. By the time you make up your mind, your car will be a pile of rust in a junk yard somewhere...

I fully bolted, turbo swapped and then returned my car back to stock in the time you were trying to decide what to do!

S20G 1100
CHARGE-PIPES/BOV 500
= $1600
.......................................
ZFR 1950 with extended coupler
= 1950
.......................................
The revised BNR is 1500 - 300 core = $1200+$500 charge pipes/bov = $1700
.......................................
Pwerks WR-2 $2300-500core = $1800
.......................................
Maybe its worth the extra 150-350 to do the zfr, but it looks like there is a wait till the summer

Less issues with not having a BOV and MAF relocate on the car is worth it IMHO. Those things if not hooked up and set right are nothing but trouble.

EFR spools up about the same as a 2871 BNR or the WR2 but IMHO it has more top end flow as it is more efficient at higher compressor speeds at least vs the BNR never seen a log of a WR2 car or a compressor map of a WR2. If I still had my Balt I would put a EFR on it in a heart beat.

I agree that an EFR is the way to go. They're just tough to find right now.
