Yup I was chasing 11's so it was cranked up pretty good.. That was on stock turbo and e47
Now I'm just on zfr with 93. If I had valve springs and could rev out a little further and finish in third I could easily hit 11's now.

Ya E makes a big difference on our cars but it isn't available around me at all. 93 is the best around here. I would love to be hitting 12s-11s on 93 with my car but I'm not too sure what turbo would be my best choice.

with a good clutch, you should have 12.9's all day with your climate and mods

its hot and humid here all the time, and i had a bad clutch, shitty tires, and bad idling issue and still ran a 13.08 @ 108 about a year and a half ago, then with my newer tune that is more aggressive i could only run a 12.9 - 13.4 due to spinning and track prep and worse clutch..............All on 93 only

Alright, lets get back on subject. Congrats on the runs.

Where is the guy with the WR-3? I thought that he was going to be dyno'ing in the spring on Ethanol. Omiotek???? Any word on that?

I'm right here lol. Sorry about the delay, I'm a college golfer and in season right now, don't have much time for anything else. I have however been talking to Dave and we are in between wether or not e47 will be good on my stock fuel system. I really don't want to do the 5th injector or the cams. We may try and see how much we can get out of it, but I'm not too sure what's going to happen as of right now..

Cams, I wouldn't be to worried about.... on e47 you won't get much out of them. The only improvement I say was in Midrange torque. As for the 5th injector, I don't think you'll need it on E47. I mean what are you guys trying to shoot for? Once you're done with your season and have time to do this just dyno with the same mods that you had before but on Ethanol. I think if you do it this way we can see what Ethanol can do with the WR-3. After, if you want to re dyno with Cams or 5th injector you can, but gains from what you were before to running on Ethanol is what we're looking for. Thanks

That is actually a good idea. It will prolly be the end of May before we can get to it, but I think just before and after would be cool to see!

This way we specifically can gauge what the WR-3 can do.

yep we are discussing other options over the meth. a 5th injector will be a good idea. we are shooting for whatever kdub wants to shoot for. his car isnt a shop car so we do it by what he wants.

Why no cams? If you just want the fuel increase without the actual increase in duration and lift and all that jazz, just get a stock intake cam with a larger fuel pump lobe. Thats what I did. No tuning required (other than adjust for the obvious increase in fuel pressure). Ran straight E85 no problem like that. Got mine from ZZP.

2500 psi fuel rail pressure and a 350-380* injection angle at WOT should give you enough fuel at 0.88 PE lambda on E-47 to make at least 440 whp and 450 wrtq or more before running out of injection time just have to ramp boost in smoothly so you do not shock the HPFP and cause the rail pressure to drop.

Frankly a lot of the midrange torque increase was seen because I switched back to stock cam angles in the midrange. I was using GMTech's cam angles in the midrange (stock up top) but decided although they definitely smooth the drivability I thought that the drivability improvement came at the expense of midrange torque and your car seemed to confirm that. Cams add about 15 wrtq and 10-12 whp on their own. IMHO the other 20 wrtq was due to the cam angle changes.

no, im waiting for a slightly used one to come on the market...

Revised BNR gt2871 rivals the torque and midrange of the stock turbo the best, at least from my research, and has 400whp/400wtq on 93, so that would be my 1st choice...

You're also maxing the turbo out on 93.

I understand that, but I am maxing my turbo out now, so who cares as long as it is reliable and drives how I want it to.

Nobody gives the BNR any love anymore. I only lost by a car and a half to a 550rwhp mustang gt 40-150. Best 850 bucks I've ever spent.
