Turbo size, pretty similiar, but the exhaust side is different on the 256, the wr3 still has the stock exhaust side. You will be able to get more power out of the 256

I purchased a k04+ recently but am not planning on putting it on till i park it for the winter. After talking with people i decided to get it based on it being a direct bolt up, potential of 375hp-410tq ( e-47) and still drive pretty much like stock. Didnt need zfr power, and didnt want a trans killer, just a more powerful balanced car. Until you can hook up the power ( maybe at the drags with slicks) i just didnt see the appeal of it. ( but i do also have a 406 powered chevy2). Still wanted all the flexibility of gas mileage, boltup, and looking stock in my dd car. I would go zfr if i also wanted to shell out the money for a zzp 6sd, as that combo would be awesome. Nothing against the big turbo guys, to each his own.

I'm sure it is, but that's not the inducer wheel. It can't be to only put out 525hp...
The way it looks by the way their saying it, this turbo is bigger than s259 by a long shot. 67mm compressor exducer wheel is what I'm guessing. It should be around a 30r in size.

So it's basically the same size of an efr 6758 (54mm ind, 67mm exd compressor) yet it's that laggy? That's not exactly what I would really consider a "massive" turbo by any means though. :/

the gamma ti wheels you can blow on and make spin. hense the fast spool up. switching to a 6758 from a 5557 i picked up 800rpm faster spool time. percisions have never spooled up super fast when you sit them next to the efrs. no ones going to be able to touch what borg warner did for a long time. just about every single bit of technology into them turbos was patented

any turbo thats smaller the a gt4288 isnt big imho... i was just saying the sheer size of it is big especially when you see it in the car. its a tight fit. having installed multiple zfrs the wr3s tighter fitting

I was directing my comment towards the wr3 being "massive" comment.... .... more so than a personal opinion of the manufactures and the technology involved in either turbo, considering how close in size the compressor wheels really are on both of the turbos. Even so 5k full spool still seems like an awful late spool for the size turbo that it is. I have a feeling it may have more to do with the turbine wheel size choice more so than the turbo technology involved.
