LOOKS LIKE ITS A NO GO, HIS FRIEND WANTS IT.
My car just doesnt spool and backfires like crazy, but the boost gauge shows boost pressure when accelerating, but sounds weird.
Oh well, im on the look out for a used turbo...

EFR are almost imposable to over spin, but they do fail. BW has a very good warranty program. If it doesn't have "foreign object damage" and you didn't run it out of oil or water they may replace it for free, even past the 12 month 12K warranty. They replaced mine for free at 16 Mo and 15K because of a technical failure of the turbine oil seal, it ran great but smoked bad at idle. Your ZFR with its after market exhaust housing could be a problem, I would still look into it. After a ZFR you wont like a BNR 2871

Yeah, its said to be a ko4+, but there no proof for sure and no way to find out other than taking it apart.
But its real cheap, 10k miles, and comes with o2 housing and manifold.
Thanks again taintred for the info, much apprecited.

Unless you're pushing the limits with the zfr or are making over 500whp, the 4.05 should be fine....BUT for those of us that are breaking the bank for all out power, the 4.45 would be the best.

I honestly don't even agree with that. There are plenty of people who have been at big power with the 4.05 even the 3.82 and didn't have trans issues. I was at about 440/440 for over a year and about 25k miles on my 3.82 and didn't have a single issue. It's all about how you drive the car.
