Term can still tune you if you have already been tuned by him. You just have to a cable on your end. He still has all the software and what not. Just not a cable.

Ive had the BNR on for a while now. Juat getting a billet compressor wheel and 11 fins, 360 thrust washer, better seals etc.


Well, I sent him a text yesterday and he didnt respond. Terms a great guy and I understand if he has new endeavors he wants to pursue. Im not really hurting for a tuner as I have my buddy who tunes. When Reese Millin called him to help tuning his Hyundai for Pikes Peak, I was like "Ok I guess Ill let him tune the car"

If anything, you can see if he'll refund you the money. But, you did get it for less than half the price and atleast you have a turbo for you car. Yes it's a very shitty situation and I'd be pissed as hell too, but that was the chance you took since he didn't have the paperwork from the previous owner.

Sorry for it not working out as you hoped man, I feel bad since I referred you to him. But like I said, I don't think he is the kind of guy to rip you off.

$450 for a stock used turbo is already enough, so it will be for sale with the manifold to make some of my money back, not waste more.

Do tell about this upgrade lol. i plan on sending my BNR in for an upgrade too. Im guessing its the revised version or is it something else?

I texted you back eventually. Just know once the wg gets fixed all that that file you have needs is the wg duty cycle lowered about 10-15% in the midrange because I cranked it up trying to get your car to boost more than 19-20 psi. Once the WG is fixed it will likely boost 30 psi with the current tune.

Mine is an upgrade but not from BNR themselves. I have a local shop here in Cali called Pure Turbo's. They not only do local stuff but internationally as well. I had mine completely overhauled with new 360 thrust bearing, cleaned and compressor upgraded to billet. The main difference from them and BNR.....they have a VSR balancing machine and the turbo was balanced all the way to 120k rpm's. I promise you, BNR does not have that machine. They discovered that the exhaust turbine was rubbing against the housing and that usually indicates that the turbo was not balanced. Here are some pics...
