I went to walmart for the Punch tool. Originally picked up a package with three punches from homedepot, sizes were 1/16", 1/8", and 1/32".

Last minute shopping at walmart I saw a 6 punch tool package with exactly the sizes I was looking for 1/16", 1/8", 3/16". I measured the size of our pin width and it looked like It was alittle more than 3/16". I can verify that the 3/16" worked well.

First I used the largest punch tool I had in the package to tap the pins loose. once I got near the paint, I switched to the 3/16" punch. a 2/16" or 3/16" punch will work.

As for first impressions of these rotors and factory pads. It may be too early to tell as the instructions indicate 400-500 daily driven miles will need to be done before optimum performance can be achieved (matching the pads and rotors). Right now I notice they do bite, light pressure on the pedal and the braking feeling comes on strong. As of now, harder pedal pushing doesnt seem to increase stopping power yet but they are still extremely new, like 20 miles on them.

I can tell these brake pads are better than the Hawk ceramics as far as stopping power. For me the rotors feel the same as the R1Concept Premier series rotors. If you daily your car, I wouldnt worry about spending an extra $200 on premier series from R1Concepts. If you like the black zinc look, the eline series rotors come in silver, black, and gold zinc coatings.

Looks really good. I've noticed that some of the end links either have the hex head on the backside or a hex recessed into the shaft on the front side depending on who makes them.
I have been told that the e-line rotors aren't quite as good quality wise. I have been running mine for 3 years and while I don't know that they would hold up on a road course, they have done me really well. They are drilled and not slotted. I am on them hard at the 1/4 at the top end wowing down from 120mph and they haven't cracked yet.....

They are called Spektrum. I will post a photo of the boxes when I get home. I inquired R1Concepts about them because they sound too similar to "Spectra" and we all know what quality Pepboys plastic intakes and rust filters are like (pre-K&N buy out). lol.

They told me Spektrum is the R1Concepts in-house brand of pads and they are similar to posi-quiets.

so I was told $290 is the price from their sale. I think I spent $297 on amazon. oh well. I could have saved $90 buy just getting the rotors through the vendor on here since im not using these pads.
