E85 whp/tq

Just wondering what you all think I would make with the following mods on E85.

HAHN CAI
Hot side charge pipe
Catless DP
Muffler Delete
Forge BPV

With a tune on 21-23 PSI. What kind of power could I make?

Realistically I want to be around 340 WHP and 380 TQ

I want to basically be at the limit where I am not destine to blow the trans but I'm at the power level where I will of course have to be careful with it. Just wondering what you all think. Thanks in advance.

Ehhhh, you should really get gms1 sensors and the opel injectors so the e85 doesn't nom nom nom the seals. You can make that on 91 with a super good tune.

I made 359/418 on full E85, fully bolted, stock turbo, and 26psi.
I was pretty close to maxing out my fuel at 5400 feet, so Opel injectors would probably not be a bad idea at sea level.
As for Hahn, I've ran their intake, charge pipes, hi flow DP and cat back since 2010 and there's not a speck of rust on any of them.
Don't worry about the trans. If you break that on the stock turbo you're an idiot.

Sorry OP, don't mean to jack your thread or anything but I was kind of wondering if anyone has ever dynoed while on e-85 and compared it to being on meth? Just wondering what the difference in numbers will be between the both of them. Thanks!

I'm only about 700 feet above sea level. I just want to hit roughly 380 TQ and sit there for a while. Could I do that with the help of E? I am running on my LSJ and I love it. And yes I may get the MAP sensor upgrade. PS I can tune on 93 here as well. Thanks.

Why do you want to hit a desired tq number?

There are two other LNF's around here that are making a little over 340whp/385tq that I would just like to hang with. I also don't want to have to worry about clutch and trans problem with winter coming up soon. At 390tq I've seen balt's put a car length on cts v's.

That would be more horsepower than torque... Even at those torque numbers you still have to watch the clutch. It isn't going to last long at all.

I made 349 WHP 457 ft lbs on a 26 psi E85 tune with all those mods, except muffler delete.

Right. See the WHP is great. But the TQ is too high for right now. I want to stay around 380 TQ until I can get a clutch and maybe a spare trans. Is there anyway to lower the TQ a bit through tuning while still staying around the same WHP?

yeah that was with a terminator 2 29 psi spike, tapering to 26.

If you have him do a decent boost ramp, you can make less peak torque.

The Hahn comment is a nonsense generalization. I've had a Hahn intake on my car since basically day 1, and it's fine.

Your power goals are more than achievable with e85. Running a lower peak boost range like 21psi will absolutely keep your torque numbers in check, however might kill your overall power band a bit. I'd say shoot for 23-24psi peak, slope the boost in nicely and you can easily keep torque under 400. I ran a 24psi tune making 355whp/383wtrq e47 tune on my stock turbo for quite a while which I was content with for quite some time. As far as your clutch goes, good luck. It's a complete crap shoot on how long it will last. Mine started slipping badly within a month or 2 of switching to e47.. lol.. I would at the very least start planning on saving some money to have a GMPP clutch upgrade in your future and an intake cam with a larger fuel lobe to keep up with the fuel demands that e85 will create. Opel injectors are 100% not necessary.

Oh I don't doubt that he had problems, and I'm sure I'd be annoyed as well. I just don't understand the need to always throw Hahn under the bus every chance he's given, even when the topic has nothing to do with crummy intake experiences.

To the OP,I have everything you have besides muffler delete, and on a 23psi, 93 octane tune using HP,my max hp/tq was 319/398 with stock clutch slipping in 4th on the pull,so the numbers your wanting are achievable without E

Really? Wow. Would E still be worth the extra WHP? I currently run my LSJ on it and I have had 0 issues.

^ That was my 1000th post. Yay.
