Engine trouble? P0010

Hi all,

I have a trifecta canned tune, which is driven almost entirely in the "off" mode (e.g. stock map). I have a catless ZZP downpipe. 91 octane tune.

I have two recurring symptoms, and one anomaly:

1. A code which I've misplaced which I believed were due to the cat O2 sensor. Since I can't find the code, let's pretend that I'm right and it's just the emissions system complaining from time to time.
2. P0010: "A" Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit (Bank 1)

This one happens even in stock tune. What does it mean? It's freaking me out.

3. The new one-time code:

The other day while the tune was on, I had some kind of detonation from the engine while accelerating onto the freeway. A loud bang and sudden judder, then back to normal after reducing the acceleration.

I found this new code: P0304 - Cyl 4 misfire

Could that cause the detonation noise I heard? I've never experienced that before. It did it twice. I turned off the tune, and it hasn't come back (knock on wood).

I've also put 93 octane in out of paranoia (it's hard to find here, and stupidly expensive north of the border) 22% over regular.

Thanks,

Mal.

P0010 is the intake camshaft selenoid. There are 2 selenoids on top of the valve cover on the passenger side of the car.

Replace both of them.

Here are the part numbers. About $40 a piece.

Intake = 12646783 = 12655420
Exhaust = 12646784 = 12655421

Do an oil change if you haven't in awhile as well. 304 is misifire on #4 which is what you felt.

Do the selenoids first and get back to us.

Thank you very much. The parts are ordered. Hopefully easy to replace. I'm moderately astute mechanically.
