It push started. Getting a new starter on now.

So far I can say the starter was the problem. It has been starting fine. Also all data and diy says u should get to it from the top. Remove intake mani, throttle body, etc. Just want everyone to know its a 20 minute job if you can get it on a lift.

Ok so I'm gonna bump this thread. Having random starting issues again. Same symptoms and the starter is only a month old.

I'm assuming a brand new GM starter? No aftermarket, O'Reilly lifetime warranty special?

Have someone in the car turning the key while you check for power at the s+ terminal. Easy way to see if it's the starter or not

It's a lifetime warranty starter. Can a bad ignition cause this? I mean the ignition they replace in the recall.

Also a good rule of thumb on buying car parts.

If it's electrical. Starter, alternator, sensors, etc. Only buy ACDelco or whatever was the stock part.
