just 5th gear. All else shifts great. It’s a LSD unit so I hope to find some parts to repair 5th SOMEWHERE. Anyone have a source?
I lost 4th/5th on the hwy on my F35... car had been running around on ~19psi. IMO just gonna happen again. F35 just weak at anything but stock boost, not to mention no component availability, cost etc. F23 swap it and don't look back. Trans are cheap, plentiful and stronger than the F35. For the cost to repair or find a "decent" F35 you can have put in 10 F23's.
If you've not thought about it, consider it. Otherwise try to find a low mileage non-LSD F35, if you really want the LSD, find someone to swap the one from your current trans.
I am currently looking for a 5th gear synchro sleeve.
I was able to find everything besides those two important parts from gmwholesalepartsonline.com
They seem to have discontinued them everywhere. Including the Saab counterpart.
It hurts me to say this but I put the old sleeve back on with a new fork, new bearing and new blocking ring. Maybe 5th will come back for a moment while I think about this.
