Yellow spring, some oscillation of the BPV (surge) coming out of moderate boost slowly in higher gears. (12-15 psi)
Only 2-3 oscillations, but still.
I'll put the green spring in over the weekend and see if it does it next week. That is the only place I could make it surge, & I was trying today.

sorry for being a n00b lol

Instead of hearing one dog bark when it opens, it'll yap 3 or 4 times as the BPV opens & closes. Many things can cause surging, too weak or stiff a spring, bad tune, crummy intake.

You'll see. Green is the way to go. BTW - if anyone should disassemble theirs out of curiosity like I did, you better have some synthetic axle grease on hand. They use just enough, and if you disassemble, it might not have enough anymore. Mobil 1 grease. Oil will swell the o-ring, and stick.

Keep in mind though I had disassembled mine multiple times, and some of the grease it came with had been wiped off. I noticed that it was getting a little sticky, so I cleaned and lubed it.
These aren't maintenance free. If you hear surge starting after a few months, it's time to clean and lube. It's likely a once a year thing. Maybe never if you have a bunch of blow by

Here it is in steps.
1.) Take off intake and intake snorkel. Make sure to disconnect the MAF sensor and leave it bolted into the intake/ airbox. If you have the stock air box, just remove enough of it to get to the BPV.
2.) Undo the three bolts surrounding the BPV in a triangle style bolt pattern with a 10mm rachet/ screw driving device. Its a difficult angle to work with but I managed to get them all undone with a flexible extension on a screw driver style 10mm rachet.
3.) Remove BPV and use plyers to pinch metal clip that holds the vacuum line on. slide metal clip off of plastic BPV nipple and twist the rubber vac line till it gives and decides to pop off. *WARNING* the diaphragm and spring are under vacuum right now, disconnecting the vac line will break its seal and send the thing shooting out of the stock BPV, lol. Its best to rotate or twist the diaphragm first to break the vac seal and remove them.
4.) put vacuum line on Forge Motorsport BPV and slide metal clip back on using the plyers. Install Forge BPV so that the opening faces downwards.. you'll know what I mean when you look at the thing. Make sure to push the piston in and out so that you know its gonna work and not get stuck before install.
5.) Reuse the stock bolts to mount the BPV back in place. Tighten down who knows how much, I just tightened it Good and tight. lol. Re install intake. connect the MAF.
6.) start up the car and try to notice any difference in the cold start start up I feel it got louder. then go for a gentle test drive getting in to boost lightly at first to make sure its really working.
7.) Done.
