Just out of curiosity, does anyone else notice that when the car sets over night, you start it up and let it warm up then when you start driving and the first time it blows of it had a deep flutter, then after that first initial blow off, its fine and sounds as per normal?

have notices that when it sets like 4 or 5 hrs atleast. Could this be a sign that mine needs to be lubed up? If so what would i use?

yea.. so does stock .. cat warm up does exactly that just warms up the cat.. you have to wait for the actual car to get warm

Yeah, the car is just exiting cat warm up meaning I have been letting it warm up. Usually around 40 degrees Celsius.

I'm not even hitting boost, I'm in first gear taking off from my parking spot lol. Trust me, I let it warm up quite a bit. I'll get a video tomorrow.

to heavy on the throttle.. the only way the car would "blow off" is if you have built boost

and warming it up in an idle state doesn't do anything for the car

The npise your hearing is perfectly normal. Even when I was stock I got that tiny bit of flutter right when I first moved the veh down the road. It quickley diminishes. Its nothing wrong with the BPV as it did it to me with my stock valve all the time.

Also even if you arnt building boost u well hear "blow off" what actually happening is anytime ur car drops back into vaccume it opens the BPV. So all your hearing is air moving through the system. There will alway be air that blows out of the BPV and out of the system

But anywhoo. If u want to lube it you need to use any type of full synthetic greese

Even when your driving. If u listen hard enough. When u let off that gas peddle u will here the valve open and air move. But that initial flutter he's talking about I always get in really cold weather after a long sit and cold start

Take a set of needle nose pliers and back the clamp off. And they use Mobil 1 full synthetic greese

So I got my Forge BPV installed yesterday, Right after the installation I turn the car on and I can hear boost leak coming from the sides of the valve so I took the car for a ride and correct, the car is only boosting 13 psi on normal tune and 20 psi down from 23 with the trifecta tune! I then let the car cool-down a bit and tighten the valve a bit more but it dint helped much. So I took the Valve off to do some inspections and wow wth, the yellow spring has eaten into valve and the valve itself seems to be bended in bit. So there goes $150, I'm going back to stock or re-tune for an aftermarket HKS Bov.
