Forge Motorsport BPV Group Buy

So I got my Forge BPV installed yesterday, Right after the installation I turn the car on and I can hear boost leak coming from the sides of the valve so I took the car for a ride and correct, the car is only boosting 13 psi on normal tune and 20 psi down from 23 with the trifecta tune! I then let the car cool-down a bit and tighten the valve a bit more but it dint helped much. So I took the Valve off to do some inspections and wow wth, the yellow spring has eaten into valve and the valve itself seems to be bended in bit. So there goes $150, I'm going back to stock or re-tune for an aftermarket HKS Bov.

I will take a pic, I dint get a green spring, it only came with the yellow spring and yes the oval slit was facing down. I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones, I'm not crying or blaming it on a faulty part, I most of gone wrong somewhere during the installation.

Ok, please do. It could be a faulty part in the sense that its not sitting flush for some reason, but it sounds to me like where the valve and the housing connect the surface is bowed. Overtorqued? If you didn't get a green spring, I would make sure to contact forge, and inform them of your problem. They should send you the green spring or replace the valve entirely.

As you can see, the green spring was inside the valve, I just dint took my time to open the valve, I just place the yellow spring on the outside just like the stock one sits and put it in the hole and that's why I had the boost leak.
What strikes me the most is that even with the beating this valve took, I lubed it and installed it back on the car and it's working like a champ. Extremely high quality pcs here, I will buy another one for sure.
Lesson well learn. Don't try to install something without reading instructions first.

like 10 mins
Here it is in steps.
1.) Take off intake and intake snorkel. Make sure to disconnect the MAF sensor and leave it bolted into the intake/ airbox. If you have the stock air box, just remove enough of it to get to the BPV.
2.) Undo the three bolts surrounding the BPV in a triangle style bolt pattern with a 10mm rachet/ screw driving device. Its a difficult angle to work with but I managed to get them all undone with a flexible extension on a screw driver style 10mm rachet.
3.) Remove BPV and use plyers to pinch metal clip that holds the vacuum line on. slide metal clip off of plastic BPV nipple and twist the rubber vac line till it gives and decides to pop off. *WARNING* the diaphragm and spring are under vacuum right now, disconnecting the vac line will break its seal and send the thing shooting out of the stock BPV, lol. Its best to rotate or twist the diaphragm first to break the vac seal and remove them.
4.) put vacuum line on Forge Motorsport BPV and slide metal clip back on using the plyers. Install Forge BPV so that the opening faces downwards.. you'll know what I mean when you look at the thing. Make sure to push the piston in and out so that you know its gonna work and not get stuck before install.
5.) Reuse the stock bolts to mount the BPV back in place. Tighten down who knows how much, I just tightened it Good and tight. lol. Re install intake. connect the MAF.
6.) start up the car and try to notice any difference in the cold start start up I feel it got louder. then go for a gentle test drive getting in to boost lightly at first to make sure its really working.
7.) Done.
