I am going to dyno mine soon but my Hahn intercooler problems have been slowing me down. I'll be getting my new intercooler next week so maybe i'll try to hit the rollers right after that we'll see what I can do

You guys do realize that the zfr doesn't have to come into boost and be the tranny buster everyone is always talking about. Its getting old and annoying. I'll say it one last time, it's......all.....in.....the....tune...... you can have it come in whenever you want and there doesn't have to be this omg huge torque spike lol. Mine is ***** to the wall at 4000 rpms, smooth boost increase until then. It should be smooth and progressive. It's perfect, no need to come in earlier anyways and have it surge. The beauty of the turbo is tune to whatever you want your ramp to be, 3000 rpms full boost or whenever after, you have a huge window of spool range that you can pick, great dd turbo fyi.

I understand you have a boost ramp but you also swapped in an LSJ trans so you must be a little worried

If I was going to buy a turbo that spools super fast and turn it back to 4000rpm why not just buy a bigger turbo that normaly spools at 4000rpm??

It is a bit silly but the power is always there if the clutch and trans are built to handle the hit you just adjust the tune and wham big hit around 3500. The ZFR hits hard around 4500 even with a slower boost ramp. If you crank on it it spools hard around 3500. I like the S-256 ET as a good DD turbo as well.

I let him go first we both started in 3rd as soon as I hit 4th he saw how I was gaining and just gave up. If we both hit it at the same time he would have pulled because of the slightly faster spool then I'd pass him right away even with the 2 passangers

Well for a direct K04 vs K04FTW I raced my buddy who I met up to tune I have intercooler and pipes he doesn't and my meth wasn't hooked up I had 2* more timing and a boost leak (hahn fail) I had 2 ppl in my car he had no spare tire.
I let him go first we both started in 3rd as soon as I hit 4th he saw how I was gaining and just gave up. If we both hit it at the same time he would have pulled because of the slightly faster spool then I'd pass him right away even with the 2 passangers

Ya I'm on both of those for next week like I said before I'm just waiting for my new intercooler to be shipped. I've talked to Matt he'll be online later tonight he's mainly stock and I'm bolted with meth so we should be able to get some good numbers. I don't know who else bought them but I know he has done a bunch over the last couple of weeks.

Ya I have it. I was the one that told you about it. It's a big improvement over stock and for the money I'd recommend it as an early mod to everyone. But the ZFR is an after market big turbo that can push around 450hp.
I was running more psi than matt had mine at 28psi until my Hahn intercooler split again everywhere. If you can wait a week I can send you a vid of a pull.
With the ZFR you have to worry about the trans the K04FTW is so smooth I think it will be alright I've beat a lot of fast cars so far with it too

I've actually rode in Kevins car, and it's fast as ****. He has me tuned to 24 psi stock ko4, k&n Sri, zzp 3inch catless dp, and a muffler delete. Everything else is stock. We raced with my buddy and my gf in his car and he pulled on me easy. I think he was running 29 psi on the upgraded k04, and no meth. But you'd have to ask him to be sure
