Yup guess so I get stuck in traffic a lot so i think that's what did it. I never thought that my clutch would be an issue at all with this turbo. I'm hoping that after I just get home this wed I can fix it

Anyone else pick this turbo up? This is at the top of my mod list right now. If it does get a nice 30-40hp increase over the stocker, then I'm in love.

i would just be satisfied with an actual airflow reading from an hpt chart, in 21 pages. You can have the dyno pull, cause none of them are the same unless you have similar conditions, and do a before and after. I will check back in 3 months.

My airflow is all messed up because I pulled so much out for my meth It's about 20% off. I drove my car home for vacation and clutch went pulled it out disc completely shot maybe 1mm left. Had trouble bleeding the clutch so had to leave it and coming back next weekend to finish and grab it. so I'm guessing my clutch problems are fixed just have the bleeding to do

Im happy with my bolted k04 and feel the zfr is not needed to take down the local civics and mustangs in my area.

Granted this option works it's $1500 cheaper than the zfr and I know it's possible with stock turbo but it seems like the chances of making your tranny go boom are pretty good on zfr

I took off the O2 housing and cleaned up the casting and also bend a coolent line that made it really difficult so I don't know for sure but taking off the turbo I'd guess round 4 hours

Because I don't need a stupid amount of power, a nice bump will make me happy. The ZFR is great but I don't need 430+ HP. And the fact that this is $650 and the ZFR is $2K, it's a metric ton more affordable for someone in school.

It's $495 you get the $150 back when you send in your core

I think it's interesting. I personally went with the ZFR and love the bump in power, but I want to see what the real world results of this K04R. Call me skeptical, but in the years I've been lurking and posting on this forum, I have yet to see a modded K04 turbo provide results. Maybe this one will, that would be sweet.

For sure me too but I've had non stop non turbo related problems since this thread was started. As week speak my car is back home new clutch in but couldn't bleed the air out and ran out of time so I'm heading back there thurs and if I can't get it going myself it's going to a shop first thing friday. But also it sounds like the turbos are starting to ship so others will have input here soon too and maybe dyno before after?? I don't know but that would be nice since I can't do that

Pretty sure pwerks k04 is proven but it's priced in the neighborhood of the zfr

Wasn't there a k04 with a wheel upgrade in the past , everyone who tried it said it wasn't worth the money. If u don't wanna spend as much just get 20g it's half the price of the k04 and will get u good bump in power.

I've decided on the ZFR and a built Powell Transmission. I need 400+ on 93. I'm going 4.05 though. Cryo'd and micro polished should hold up.

I don't understand why so much power on the road ? Isn't that dangerous if something has come up in front of you then it's all over with. I rather upgrade moderately to 400hp and that's it. It should be good for daily driven instead of upgrading so high. It's like dumping so much money then get rid of it. That's what I noticed every times, like this guy used to on this forum his user name is c130aviator. He spend thousands of dollars then got rid of it. He's a cool guy to talk to. It doesn't make any sense, that's the lesson I had learn in the past. This time I am keeping it till it fall apart. LOLOL!
