I like beer. He gave me a set of SS SC wheels with pretty much brand new tires on them. My other friend comes down for big jobs and tunes and I met him halfway last time. And I`ve basically done every job on my car already or someone else so I know these cars pretty well

dearbryant the turbo swap is not impossible to do but you need to be slightly mechanically inclined, it took me a saturday and a sunday to complete mine maybe 12 hours all together. one thing you might want to order is new washers for the banjo bolts, the gasket for oil return line and the main gasket to the exhaust manifold. i think all together its like 40 bucks and would be worth every penny if someone else is installing it.

Thanks man also how long/how much should a turbo swap cost? Don't want this shop to rape me. Also is a coolant flush/oil change required after swap?

i don't remember the part numbers but you can just go to the gm dealership and get a blown up print out to see the parts. my guess would be a shop could do it in 5-7 hours and i drained my coolant so as not to wear it when i was taking the water lines off the turbo

I figured a shop with the required tools would be able to get done in around 6 hours. Still price shopping around to see the best deal I could get... Stupid question. I think my turbo seals are shot, that's why I'm replacing my turbo. However I've heard our cars are known for blow by, that a Powell oil separator completely eliminates this issue. Should I try installing that first to see if my car stops burning oil? I already compression tested it so I knows it either blow-by or my turbo seals.

There more space than you think. It's still a tight fit, but a friend and I installed his zfr with his car on jack stands. Hand thread the banjo bolts to snug and it will be a cake walk. Also you'll need an offset oxygen sensor removal socket.

I took mine off with the O2 sensor still installed then took it off while I cleaned up the housing. I`d put the turbo on but only put the bolts on a couple threads then line up all the coolant and oil lines then tighten the turbo down
