I did some more testing today will post results. But have to talk to matt about adding the mod to the k04r package

I've been talking with Taylor (Infraredline) lately and we came up with an idea to help the K04r hold more boost at redline. Last summer I was fully bolted with 10gph meth and I had a 28psi spike that dropped down to 22psi at 6500rpm. So I've had this idea I have wanted to test for a while but I had to wait for the weather to clear a bit so I could get a log it. I have been running a 15psi tune on 87oct so far through the winter no meth and stock intercooler.

So for my testing today I still had 1/4 tank of 87 and topped it off with 94 so I was around 92 octane. I was trying to see how much boost I could hold not spool or anything else but anyways for the results:

I was seeing an increase in what the turbo would hold up top of around 3psi! And I'm at altitude. It went from just under 22psi to 25psi at 6500rpm. Also I was seeing really good flow even tho I wasn't trying to tune for anything like that. There was slight knock up top but I'm blaming that on the 87oct I still have in the tank so I shut down the testing because I was able to get the results I wanted.

I'd like to put my 3rd brand new intercooler on, throw some E in the tank and up the rev limiter to 7k with more tuning to see how much more I can get out of it but I won't be putting on the intercooler until this spring.

Now I'm gonna talk to Matt about adding this to the K04r and also offer it for guys who already have the K04r on their cars so I'll keep you posted

Not really, more like a great starting point or numbers for guys on 91oct. I'm kinda excited to push this thing more in the spring or maybe a bit more next weekend on a full tank of 94oct

Next step for me other than to plan to get this out with Matt is to test with some better fuel and the intercooler and see how much more I can get I was around 20* with meth on that 22psi in the summer and only 11* now

Got one of these waiting for spring time to get here. Seems pointless to put it on now. I'll be doing a 110oct dyno to see full potential and then a 93 for daily use. Now if it can get above single digits here at some point I'll start getting excited

Yes I'm tuning another guy on one but hes says he has no boost leaks and he's dropping pressure pretty good we're working on it but I wanna get him this mod right away so that he can push it too cause he can get E85

Im buying a drum of E 100 in the spring and was planning on mixing in 10 percent 93 so I can have a steady exact fuel to work with.
I have the fueling cam , 5th injector ,and Opel injectors right now
I also have a spare fueling cam I will let go for $150. Never used

Any idea if running full e85 would work on the LNF using this turbo? I'm In Florida..

Ill also take open injectors, fuel cam & upgraded intank fuel pump will be needed, but not sure if that'll be enough to supply full e85.

This is my next step I now think there is more in the turbo Matt and I have been talking about bringing this to the public he's really excited to hear about it. I'll be installing my intercooler and run some E to see what I can get out of it

Is the exhaust wheel upgraded in this turbo??

Btw swap out the wastegate for like a forge... Should help.

i believe its only the compressor side that gets upgraded.
