What really sucks is on my final testing days I had a totally clogged air filter which I didn't know until I switched to the 7163 but Soundjunky has my old turbo and I'm tuning him so I do still have a way to keep track of my old setup!

Nice man all I need now is the funds to buy a k04r and I can run it with e47 wonder if I would have to upgrade the injector seals tho

Nice to hear, I need to get ahold of my tuner to see when he would be available for the e47 tune and might buy the 3 bar map sensors now and take advantage of the trip

please excuse my intrusion;

But isn't any more than a bar3 overkill?

Who is really going to be exceeding 30psi?

(iirc our bar3 maps are good for 30 or maybe 31 psi, as opposed to the actual bar3 rating of 29)

From my quick search, bar4 is good for 43.5 & bar5 is good for 58.0 - I would think that our engines would need to run head studs, trick head gaskets, and be o-ringed to run anywhere near bar5 pressures... but that doesn't even touch on the suspected issues with our camshaft geometry & increased boost pressure...

I have topped them out. I think the 5 bar you can get in a t-map like ours not that I'll ever need anything that extreme

Finally got around to installing the K04r with a high pressure wastegate.

Don't have any type of number since its still waiting to be tuned. I had a boost leak yesterday from a loose clamp which I believe I fixed.

I have a 2010 LNF with 121000 miles. Mods include:
forge recirc diverter valve (yellow spring)
K&N typhoon intake
ZZP upper charge piping
MPx 3" catless downpipe
hurst short throw shifter.
HP tuned

through the winter i plan on upgrading my clutch from stock, as well as a Tr8 intercooler as they are fairly cheap and have good reviews. if i were to go k04ftw would everything be reliable under a reliable tune?

your tune doesnt have to be "reliable" as in turned back, as long as you dont pound on the car everyday and dont fry your clutch the car will be fine. have a nice boost ramp come in and then go all out instead of all out instantly. youll be fine with this turbo and be very happy with 360-380whp no problem

I'm pretty sure this is a different turbo than what has been discussed here - I'm not sure on how drastically different it is, but that aside, I don't know if that was a typo, or if no one else noticed this.

Regaurdless, it all comes down to the end tuner.

I hear KM043 does remote tuning if you have HPT.
