Pretty sure u can run any aftermarket intake. Possibly even the stock one. According to other members it will hold boost past 6800. Idr all the details but I haven't heard anyone say it was a bad upgrade.

Alrighty guys, i'm interested in a k04r and I got some questions that i'm too lazy to go through 72 pages of this thread to do.
What's the biggest wheel there is? What wheel looks like the stock compressor housing? What intake will I need for the new wheel? How much is it with a k04 I send in? And can it hold 30 psi?

The more expensive k04+, which is a little smaller is capable of 370-380 on e47, but it's made by precision and sold by pwerks.

The r is the biggest wheel you can get into the stock housing at this point. You can run the same intake you run now. I believe it's around $600 with the high boost can, sadly he had them on sale during Black Friday, for $150 off. (I got mine ordered then). I can't say it will hold 30, because I don't have one on but others can tell you. I am not looking to run over 27, but will expect to hold that to 6,700. It's not a zfr, but should be capable of 385-390 whp measured on dynojet on e47, probably not much more. I've heard 30 isn't good for ring lands if you push it a lot.

This is what I experienced. To some, it might not be a big deal or an issue but I literally felt the car miss and pop. I'd caution anyone with the R and getting too greedy while running ethanol. These runs, ambient temps were in the low 50's. You can clearly see as the rail pressure drops, STFTs drift positive (Inj DC increasing to try and help). No bueno. As I already stated, I was able to work around it and keep pressure around 1900 where before it was dropping into the 1500s but the car feels and actually is much faster by dropping the ethanol content.
As a bonus, you get to see how rock steady the boost is
