i think it took me around 8 hours to do the k04r swap, it wasn't too bad really i was just inexperienced working on the car so it was a learning curve. bring a buddy and some beer.
make sure you have
-coolant
-banjo bolt washers
-turbo gasket
-penetrating oil
-torque wrench
-oil to top up what drains out

Yeah that's what I was going to be asking what other parts I needed to do the swap. Where can I get the banjo bolt washers? Any particular size I need to use?

Well the swap I'll be doing myself more than likely, maybe I'll ask a friend or let's see if Jesse wants to give me a hand lol

Coolant Banjo Washers - 12626102 (3 are needed)
Turbo Oil Return Gasket - 12589435
Turbo Mounting Gasket - 12618586

this is a great write up and you can follow it pretty closely in the removal part, you do not need to take the exhaust manifold off as you will not be running into the issues with the turbo not fitting on correctly. the turbo and the 02 housing can and should come out and can go back in as a unit and i would suggest doing so.

I've re used mine like 5x now. 3x to replace leaking exhaust gaskets(manifold to turbo and head to manifold), one for k04r, and again when stock k04 went back in, haven't had issues yet
