Gross leak to evap purge low flow?
Recently got the check gas cap message. Did my research and saw that the purge valve on the intake manifold goes out fairly often. Changed it out and got PO497. Evap purge low. So I replaced the valve on the canister. Cleared the code and the po497 returned. I'm thinking I got a bad purge valve and now it's stuck closed. Unless I have a clogged canister but I feel that unlikely since the condition was a gross leak and now it's evap low flow after changing the purge solonoid. Looking for input before I go and get the solonoid warrantied

Yeah first thing I would check for a gross leak would be the cap and we'll that's needs be pressure tested to be certain. Unless you can check it another way I'm not familiar with

I looked at the gas cap. Seal looked to be in good shape. Didn't look out of place or to be operating improperly. I found the trouble shooting tree on here. Po497 is purge valve stuck closed. I still have the old one I may switch it back to see if changing the canister valve was the issue to begin with.
