I have a TR8 and it was a beta version! I guess I was a pioneer for the kit. I paid someone to install mine, but I'm under the impression that it is a direct fit. They didn't say anything otherwise.

I'm happy with it.

Oh and one more thing, if you ever see a Silver GTI with some nice wheels, just rev on him and tell him Mike sent you to destroy him haha. I have a GTI buddy that hates on my car regularly that lives in Park Hill!

Dude I may have messed with that guy the other day (3 weeks ago?) - ran into a silver GTI over on Quebec St. near Walmart and pulled on him. He rolled down his window and asked me if It was the ss/sc or ss/tc, then we took off from the light and I left him pretty hard. Too funny if thats him.

When I bought mine they had the IC only on ebay for $269 incl shipping but as of right now all I can find is the whole kit and its price went up about $30 (maybe I was the first one to buy it then they raised the price?)

how were you running it on a KB 5l? I thought those were roots blowers with an air/water setup? Im sure im wrong, just curious.

The KB's on the old 5l's were actually not cooled what so ever, I took a 2.1L big bore blower and custom made an intercooler set up for it. 10lbs of boost and I was burning up the tires (285/35/18 drag radials) on a 60kph pull. I was going to get custom 8 rib pulleys made with a bigger crank pulley to run 13lbs but I gave up on it after many years and not having enough time to play around with it anymore.

Heres a few pics

yeah, he noticed the endtanks dont have the inlet/outlets facing the right direction for the charge piping.

GR1VLET, the Treadstone kits come with the couplers and hardware, and 90* elbows. Its a direct fit.

Wow, very nice! I've always been a mustang guy - I've got a '65 coupe I'm going to try and find a donor 5.0 HO EFI and T5 to swap in. Maybe a set of heads and a cam.

Do you still have the car?

I would like to correct the bend where the two pieces meet, straightening the last bend on the turbo-side pipe SHOULD fix it. Also thinking about cutting an inch or two off the end that connects to the turbo so it isn't as close to hitting the hood.

I parted it out, it was either drop lot of money into a built engine to handle the power. I had no time to work on it anymore and never drove it much. Wanted to get into something fun I could enjoy year round. I'm sure ill be back in a mustang in a few years.

I wouldn't mind picking this intercooler up if they offered it without all the other stuff, like 250 for just the intercooler would be perfect.

Woah that actually looks pretty damn nice with some paint on it. Interesting setup, is that a 2.2?
