They say they are not rebuild-able and that may be true for the bearings but I dont see why the oil seals couldn't be replaced.
ya, finally tuned it out though. but hitting wot to early in rpm would cause a lot of surge. but it would go away when the rpm got up there. different weather, colder caused it at times as well. just gotta be carful I guess. but now that I got a good boost ramp, its fine.

gonna try the 71 this time, bigger turbo, less boost, should be easier on it.

Perhaps you could try replacing the seals on the turbo?
the oil seal/piston ring on the turbine.

Since I have no clue how to do that or where to even get them for that turbo, I'd install new one, then do it and sell the old one

Can't you get a new center section for like $1,200. That's cheaper than buying a new one by like $700, or close to $1,000 for a 71.Think it's called a super core.

Well yesterday I took off the pcv hose that goes from intake to valve cover. The one with the check valve. Cleaned the valve, it had some filth on the diagram inside. Then took apart my custom hose, which is fried so I bought new hose rated for higher temps, there was a broken piece of fried rubber that fell out, don't know if it was blocking or not. But it is easier to blow through now. I did a run today and it didn't smoke after. I'll try again later and see what happens. Possible that vent was getting plugged under boost and causing crank case pressure pushing oil past turbo seal. We shall see. I hope this is it.

Aren't the exhaust housings for the 71 and the 67 different?

We will see if that was it, I'm not satisfied till it hasn't done it for a few weeks. See if I'll loose any oil this time around

Idk thinking about the blocked line, it really shouldn't have caused any pressure. Talked to Powell, he confirms. So why does it not smoke now? Why can things just either be broke or be fixed , why mess with people's heads lol. Still not smoking, guess some kind of sorcery took place. I'll just keep my eyes on the oil and see if it smokes again ever.

ok so smoke is back. didn't seem to want to quit this time. we shall see tomorrow. there is watery liquid coming out by downpipe when I opened it. just a little though. basically its wet so obviously coolant or meth. I think coolant but don't seem to see any drop in coolant at all. exhaust smells sweet but with this acidic burning in ur throat when u are standing in the smoke coming out. probably poisoned myself a little. looked at spark plugs, they are dry, look fine. I'm thinking maybe the turbo center section may be cracked inside leaking a little oil and coolant. I'm gonna take down pipe off and go for a spin in a few days and see what comes out under there. this is really strange.

it just smoked continually till I went to work this morning, it stopped a few miles for the road when whatever was in the exhaust burned off. It's good again. Wondering if it's maybe the washer fluid I'm using for meth that has something in it. I'll figure it out this week yet

Tom- anyway you can get someone to video you as you drive (dash camera or go pro) just to make sure the color of the smoke and when it's happening. Do you know for sure it going through the charge pipes, or could you have an oil leak say in the turbo oil drain line back to the pan that is leaking on the downpipe. If you could film your exhaust before and after boost it might tell you more. Just a suggestion, as I thought on 1 of my prior vehicles I had rings going bad but it was just a failed gasket leaking onto exhaust. Oil pressure goes up with rpm.

Well oil drain can't leak on the dp, it's inside the exhaust where something is smoking. It only happens after a run when I stop so I'll take a video. Smoke is mostly gray, slightly blue at times. I'll get a video today if it decides to smoke after a run. Compression on cylinders is good so I don't think it's the rings. I think it's the turbo but that's what I'm attempting to find out. Doing leak down test this weekend as well

And no, there is no oil in charge pipes, or combustion chamber.

Wow that's a lot,
Mine smokes also only after a long hard pull and will continue to smoke anytime its in boost afterwards. It will stop after some mileage but it never smokes at idle. Maybe your turbo is puking oil at higher oil pressure,
