For me it's not that I don't like the R it's fun and all but I think my turbo or something isn't right so I have to tear up the car and see what's the problem but if I have to replace the turbo I'm just going to go big. Also now that the Balt isn't my dd I can have more power

Like Kevin says- making bigger power with the motor has never been the issue. It's always been about how to plant it. Would be awesome if someone made some nice body kits that flared the fenders so you could run 275 tires.
I've always had the money to go bigger power, but have never gotten over the traction thing unless you run slicks all the time. I don't care about having big Dyno numbers. I'm all about usable power 0-100, especially at a drag strip. 0-60 with a zfr is sketchy. Great little motors

My car only has issues planting in 3rd under big boost at 27psi it plants no problem. My issue is I have way too much weight transfer. A set of air bags will help that and are adjustable. So for the street I can stiffen the rear and on the strip I can basically lock it out

This has happened 1 guy on this site was tuned on 91 with a 67 ZFR and he would lose to a E85 car. I retuned him on 91 he beat the guy by a tiny bit then gave him a E47 tune and then he won by lengths

It's a good turbo but it requires a different strategy than just throwing more boost and timing at it.
FWIW, if I could afford it, I'd be rocking a 7163 but my R is more than capable for now

With lobe and opels on E47 you could have less to no ramp on spool and be able to run over 26psi up top. To run full E85 you would need both and a 5th to run full out or a conservative tune that makes around 470ish
