Here is the video I made of the loud noise/rattle upon starting the car. Sorry for the shitty quality. It got reduced when i rotated it. The noise goes away at approximately 3:20 in the video. I am beginning to think its normal. It does sound like its the DI pump. I am not sure though. Mine does have the insulation on it. The first start up after a few days it took 6 min to quiet down. So I made another about 10 min after. Anyway thanks again and I appreciate any suggestions.

 

Timing Chain perhaps?

On my old car (Speed3) they would rattle the same way for the first few minutes when they were cold. They would have to be replaced because they stretched

 

That's normal. it stays a consitant loud noise then makes that times ticking every second after.

Thanks. I definitely feel better. That is a crazy noise. I was starting to believe it was normal, I found 1 or 2 videos that sounded the same but they were the LSJ and I wasn't sure it was the same. The motor was replaced in 2012 so I was hoping it wasnt anything major. I am still going to check and see if it has the updated timing chain tensioner. I would think most of the updates should be there with the motor being replaced. Who knows with GM though. Thanks again for the help

And the LNF didn't have the tensioner problem like the LSJs did as far as I know
