Can someone who is running ST* or street prepared convert their car to E85? Or is there a rule that bans that? I would like to get everyone's thought on E85 in general as well.
You are allowed to run your car legally on that fuel in any category, since it is specifically listed as "pump fuel" in the rulebook.
But you may be limited in your ability to "convert" your car, depending on the category. In SP, it is easy, as most of the fuel system is open. In ST, it gets harder, since you can't change anything in the fuel system, other than the ECU tune. So if your injectors or fuel pump do not have enough headroom to push the extra fuel needed, you lose.

Got to have some fun on my way home. Initial observations:
part throttle and immediate response is NASTY compared to before. I actually burned 3rd gear getting onto the highway with half throttle! Then just in general as you stab WOT the car is a LOT more responsive and powerful sooner.
Im down to 1/4 tank of 1:1 and tomorrow Ill be going Full E to see how it does. I saw a max IPW of 10ms and still a max IDC of 33% but typically around the 30% area.
Edit: OH...and not sure why but the car pulled hard to 7k... *shrugs*

^^^LOL Awesome. So are we still thinking that bigger turbo and full E is probably too much for the fuel system to handle? I know Vince thought it'd be better to keep me on the blend with the 2860. I dont mind the double fillup, but being able to just use traight E would be a convenient

As long as all goes well tonight with the Full E85 (hoping Vince is around for some email action) then I will be dyno'ing the car tomorrow Trying to better the E47's 346/414. Nothing has changed except clutch and full E85 now.
