Yeah only thing the selectable tune does is the boost levels.

I agree with the previous post that the dic is not calculating mpg correctly as i can assure you my mpg has dropped 30%.
My boost was over 25 tonight.. yikes and holds there too. Your right no time to look around, adds true meaning to the phrase **** and get...lol I do think third is the most likely gear to slip due to torque multiplication and load... 2nd gear has enough xxx to just cause tire spin and 4th lacks the xxx to make slip or spin. Maybe big turbo guys but not stock.

Yeah I do not think it is clutch slippage. I checked my boost at Wot today in third and I hold 21psi which was same as before.

On my way home from getting more corn today a blue integra R came flying up behind me and switched lanes then slowed to pace me at 60.

I gave him the go sign and the corn demon came out and it was over in seconds. He was a good sport about it though. Gave the thumbs up after it was done. Very nice looking ride that he had I must admit.

On my ex-06 Evo 9 I had to switch to 1000cc injectors as well as a Walbro fuel pump to run E85. What makes us not needing bigger injectors/pump? Direct Injection does not answer that question because E85 Burns allot more dry than regular 93 octane.

I will eventually get bigger injectors and a Walbro pump but would like to know how long will our stockers last us before they take a dump.

Di is the reason why we don't need bigger injectors, because we are not limited by the size of a nozzle. A pump is not completely out of the question, but our injectors are fine for e85 up to 400+WHP

After an update I am now good to go... boost holding where it should be and no wierd things in third gear....

I wonder if Vince could throw in a coupon to discount tire for 2 tires with this e85 tune.

Agreed lmao you guys with 91 or 93 oct tunes don't know what torque steer is untill you get this e85 tune. This is crazy.

hahaha... yea its like crack for cobalts. the only way to not spin hard in 3rd is to run nt01 or drag radials... otherwise forget it... I would say that 3rd pulls as hard as second did on the 93 oct tune. -- Very nice Vine, thx for the ongoing support at such a good price...

Im going to the track Thursday is the rain stops. I ran a 8.43 at 87.6 mph on my gas tune so I cant wait to see how much mph I pick up. I also think the added tq will let me bog 1st gear more without spinning.

Going to Denton if anyone can join me.... I'll be the yellow balt missing gears...ha

Update: Looks like I'm right on the edge of fueling. The temps dropped around twenty degrees recently and I had some soft bumps in the middle of some pulls.

If no solution is found: This may be great in the Summer, but we may have to go to a mix or 93 in the Winter. This would help cold starts anyway though.

On another note: The low pressure fuel pump and high pressure fuel pump both sound louder since going to E85. I currently have the back seats out, so I couldn't help but notice the low pressure fuel pump's sound difference.

The low pressure pump is quite audible on my Stage 1 car as well. Especially when cold. Whines very loud.

Everything running good so far. I decided to check my mileage and see where I am at.
After todays fill up, I calculated my fuel mileage and here are the results:

17mpg with e85
12x17= 214 miles per tank (MY STYLE OF DRIVING)
3.25x12= 39 per tank

24mpg with 91 octane.
12x24= 288 miles per tank (MY STYLE OF DRIVING)
4.00x12=48 per tank

72/17=4.2x3.25=13 and change to make up difference in fuel mileage loss.

+9.00 dollar difference per tank full
-13.00 dollar difference to account for mileage loss.

21 PSI TUNE

E85 Benefits:
cost is a wash
fun factor= 4th gear feels like third, 3rd feels like 2nd.
Smells good compared too 92 octane with catless dp.
American made

E85 Negatives
Not too many stations carry E85
You do not dare venture more than 80 miles away from e85 station unless you carry a charged laptop and tactrix cable with you to switch tunes in emergency.
cold starting.

Conclusion:
I love running the corn but if you are using your car as a DD LETS HOPE VINCE COMES UP WITH A WAY TO MAKE THE TUNES SELECTABLE.
I only feel safe mashing the throttle in comp mode while in third gear. LSD over compensation in my car anyway.

I just got tuned for E85, after driving for 15 miles I notice that my mpg improved over 93 octane.
This is cruising at 60 mph on the highway for 14 miles.

And this is at 40 mph in the city in a 1 mile stretch.

I never saw it ding below 27 mpg in this city so so far so good. Ill post after I go through the entire tank and c how many miles I get.

Your computer has not yet adjusted. trust me you will get a big surprise soon. After a few hundred miles and a couple of tank fulls your dic will adjust to your new found fuel.
