You won't see any gains from a catback.

true. the stock cat-back is the perfect size for the k04. but some people still like to upgrade

lol yea RFL is really intense! I like the FL alot too, but arent those both catbacks? The megan has these measurements:

MEASUREMENTS:
- 2.5" OD piping, 4.5" tip, 2 7/8" ID @ inlet flange

alright well thanks for info anyways, i was sure you would get SOMETHING out of a catback performance wise..

fl and rfl are catback, so is the megan racing if its only 2.5 inch.

wont get any hp upgrade when its the same size as stock (2.5). even if you get a 3 inch, the stock exhaust flows pretty well, only exhaust upgrade that will show results is a catless downpipe. catback is just for sound.

Yep the Megan is a waste....cheap and no larger then stock.... the stock exhaust doesn't sound very good in my opinion and 3" is a must if you have a big turbo.

I have a rather uncommon exhaust and love it, quite pricey though new. The Ark Performance N-II exhaust only a 2.5'' but since I was a base to begin it's an upgrade.

^ That's what I'd do to start. Muffler delete with a catless downpipe.

So did we ever determine if catbacks are the worst price/performance upgrade on a stock turbo LNF? Seems like it would be.

where do you live? If you are worried about it, just gut the rear cat with a 2.75 piece of tubing from O'Reilly's. That is unless you get smog tested.

Seriously though, with an LNF if you aren't opening up the downpipe, you are wasting time and money, it's one of the easiest and cheapest gain.

Catless downpipe $200 for 5-10HP
or gut rear cat for $5 for 5HP
Exhaust $500 for <5HP

OP needs a head back upgrade. New manifold, bigger turbo, catless DP, bigger exhaust. Win.

Could always get a high-flow catted downpipe then if you are worried about going catless.

Lower your car, that will avoid any sort of chance for the police to look.
But i will definitely be getting a FL from turbo XS when i need exhaust

Do a high flow cat and 3"cat back. The high flow cat will give you the largest gain. mosthigh flow cats now days are good enough to where you won't loose more then 1 or 2HP over a cat less setup.

and not everything sounds good on an lnf..

This is what I have, but I wouldn't exactly call it quiet.
