Name this part please
Ok i have a hahn cool ram intake, the nipple for the breather with the braided line that goes into the back of the valve cover. There is that black round thing that is rite at the end of the connection where it plugs into the intake itself. My question is what is the purpose of that, is it some kind of check valve. To make a long story short, there is no give in this piece and im afraid its goin to break. Im gowin to extend this hose, can the black check valve? be removed or do i have to fab this into my new line. Thanx in advance

It is the PCV check valve and you will want to keep it.
I had the same issues with my Hahn intake, no matter how I adjusted it... would pull the check valve off the intake. Eventually I replaced the braided hose with a 3/8" rubber hose and have not had an issue since. Its tough but you CAN get the braided line removed from the check valve w/o breaking the valve or destroying the braided line, should you ever need it again.
Mine are clamped now, but here is what I mean:

how do you take the braided line off, on the back of the valve cover?

The one going to the intake tube I took off with a standard fuel disconnect. The other one going to the turbo I bent a couple shitty small flat blade screw drivers and wasted 30 minutes of my life walking it off.
