Both models are the same price.
Higher clearance unit is the same IC but with the bottom moved up 1". All the other specs are the same, just gives you 1 additional inch of clearance and the IC is 1" smaller

Maybe if we bend the tabs, get longer bolts, two extra lock washers, and two nut, we can try that out.

Are the upgraded couplers needed for the zzp ic? Im ready to order but if I can reuse the stock ones and be safe I rather do that since cash is tight.Gonna run t-bolt clamps also.. Still need to decide if im going to go regular or high clearance? My lip is all scratched up and ill be lowering it on my CM springs this week so im still trying to figure it out. Any one lowered with the zzp intercooler? also any problems with it from scrapping? I know scrapping won't really hurt it I have yet to see a thread saying that someone broke their IC. If I drive a little bit more carefully there shouldnt be any problems I hope.

You don not need to replace your couplers. If you want to save money, feel free to run the stock couplers. They will work fine. You just need a way to cut the 2 plastic rings- Dremel, cutoff wheel, utility knife might even work.

(I believe Matt went over 600WHP with the EFR but I don't remember exactly)
That was on the S259 turbo, but yes, with the zzp lnf ic.

Good to hear!. I saw a while back that if anyone showed your their intercooler damage due to bottoming out or whatever you would fix that.. Do you still honor that since the high clearance is out? I'll be placing my order here shortly

3) Extra Coupler Adds Flexibility - What is a con in one respect is a pro in another. The added couple joint adds a little more flexibility in the piping system to allow for aftermarket piping that isn't quite factory spec in routing.
4) Clearance - Absolutely no clearance issues. Sits higher than factory, I believe.

Don't ban-hammer me, admins. This is purely facts and opinions from my personal experience with the TR12. The TR10 would be the same. I don't know if Haza will get mad at me for posting the pics.

glad you posted the info!
i love my tr12. keep in mind I wanted the tr10, but they upgraded me to the tr12 because they were out of tr10s.

it was much worst.
i had the crazy steve because sslobalt gave it to me.
talk about bending brackets like a ************. the crash bar wouldn't even bolt down all the way till we bent, bent and bent.
i don't mind the treadstone one. its not really pushing or rubbing on the ac condensor after that second fitment. it does of course touch the crash bar but it won't be moving at all since its bolted firmly into place.

btw i paid 380 shipped for the tr12 cobalt kit.

Yes, we would still take care of people if they scrape and damage their full-size zzp ic.

I had one: IT SUCKS BALLZ!!!!

I bought this POS. I had a lot of fitament issues with it. It wouldn't fit between the condenser and the crash bar:

The mounting tabs were crap and had to be bent a lot. The IC basically pushed the crashbar outward, which messes up the bumper alignment. I couldn't really ever get it mounted for fear of bending my A/C condenser, so I took it back off without ever starting the car with it.

So, I call Genuine Saab and tell them it doesn't fit. They obviously DO NOT want to work with me but finally agree to take it back after bitching enough. They just can't believe it doesn't fit. It MUST be my fault. I sent it back to them and they said it was damaged.

Not that it's Genuine Saab's fault, but UPS gave it to them like this:

They, obviously wouldn't refund my money, so I had to call UPS and have them go look at it. UPS told me to pound sand and that they would give me $75. I told them I'd take it if that's all I can get. Then I made Genuine Saab send it back to me. I bent the pipe out as best I could and gave it to Haza.

Haza (interviewatruins) got it mounted, but had to use some pieces of rubber to keep the scraping on the A/C condenser to a minimum. He also had to bend some stuff to get it to fit.

I repeat: This think is a piece of **** and Genuine Saab can blow me. If you buy this, it's all on your head. I tried to warn you. Can you tell I hate that POS?
