New Rear TC Rotors
#151
Problems with the rears have been well reported around here on most '08s and some '09s. Unfortunately Chevy won't acknowledge any problem, so warranty coverage has been like pulling teeth.
Knew this was going to be a problem before I bought the car so I already have money set aside for improved brakes and rotors. I just want to make sure that by replacing pads and rotors I will indeed solve the problem, and that the calipers aren't an issue. Some have chimed in and said caliper pins have insufficient lubrication and that the inside pad wears unevenly and prematurely.

I just bought an '08 TC with 125mi on it two weeks ago. Odo now reads 1800mi and the rotors (including outside surface) look like a DJ record and squeal like nails on a chalkboard.

Either way dealer replaced the pads and rotors under warranty no questions asked. Took 3 business days to get parts.
