See other post. They make LSJ and LNF specific.

Why is it that 4 lnf connecting rods cost 1200 meanwhile 8 lsx connecting rods cost 1864????

http://thmotorsports.com/carrillo/ca...25H-08-13-1998

Why are the LNF ones 300 per rod meanwhile LSX ones are 233 per rod?

Turbo Tech, any ideas about this?

Not sure, I am sure it is smaller run sizes... LS1 is a much more "built" engine... The LS1 you showed are a tapered blade, the Ecotec ones we have are the straignt blade.... (manufacturing process different?)

We can get those LS1 rods for $1549.99 for all 8 from Corrillo.... Not $1864 like the site you showed... So you know our LSJ/LNF rods are the right price if we can get you that good of a deal on the Corrillo ones!

You are getting a great price from us.....

If these start selling and Carrillo drops there price to us, we will drop our price to our customers... I highly doubt it will happen though, as there are only a hand full of LNF's out there compared to the LS1...

I doubt you would break them with 1,000 HP (properly tuned)

I hate it when the uninformed voice opinions like this.

Yeah they are expensive, but hell, we should be happy that a company even bothers making such parts for us.

This is simple mfg economics. They (the mfg, not TTR the seller) have to recover R&D and tooling costs on every component they manufacture. This cost therefore has to be distributed among the number of components that they will sell. Unfortunately for the LSJ & LNF motors, there simply will not be that many parts sold. So a larger portion of that development cost ends up being added to each part.

Where as the LS1, not only exists in much larger numbers, but more LS1 owners will be building their motors than LSJ/LNF motors. So each end consumer ends up paying for a smaller portion of said development costs.

Get it?

This is the same reason that most Honda motor components are more affordable.

I don't imagine anyone will be able to break rods (properly tuned) on the stock snail. These will come into play for people looking to make huge numbers with a bigger turbo.
