Photos of Production MPx Oil Catch can for Cobalt SS Turbo

(For those of you not familiar what a catch can is, its a device used to trap oil that flows through the pcv breather system from the head. Because turbocharged motors pressurize the head, oil can flow out of the pcv breather system and oil can collect in your intercooler, pressure piping, etc. A catch can traps the oil, and prevents it from flowing into the engine, piping, etc. This is a device thats HIGHLY recommended for use in all turbo vehicles. )

Ok guys, we're EXTREMELY close to releasing these for sale. They're all produced, assembled and we're doing some final testing. These should be ready for sale next week (4/2/10ish)

Quick specs :
-These are made specifically for each car- Neon SRT-4, Caliber SRT-4 and Cobalt SS. They will be released in that order for sale as well.
The only thing thats really changing is the bracket between all cars, the catch can will look exactly the same for all vehicles.
-Each can is purpose built to efficiently capture oil in the pcv vent lines.
-Each can is built small so that it can be easily installed, but yet has enough storage for several months worth of oil.
-Each can has a industrial grade ball valve to allow for easy draining without removing the catch can.
-Each can is anodized in NINJA black for stealthy good looks.
-Each can is tested before shipment to ensure there are NO leaks.
-The bracket is designed so that you can easily rotate the inlet and outlet of the catch can for easier installation of the lines to pcv.

We'll keep you guys updated when these are ready for sale, stay tuned ! Thanks !

Awesome

I've already witnessed oil all up in the turbo and IC. This would be a great addition.

Indeed. Whats the point in coating the whole innards of the intercooler, intercooler plumbing and turbo ? This will stop that from happening.

We could actually use this on the LSJ. I just dont have one to test it on right now.

I think I need this.

Took apart the lower cp and oil was dripping from it. Or I might have bigger problems

A little bit of oil is normal. But a catch can would definitely help. If it's just some drops, fine, but if it's pooled in there, start checking stuff out haha

MP,

There are a bunch of LSJs, an LSJ-TVS, LSJ-T, an LSJ/TC conversion, 2.2-SC, and a 2.4-T all here pretty locally. If y'all are interested in getting in touch with any of them to test fit, shoot me a PM.
