Actually we are foreseeing some issues with the 2009+model year cars from GM. They are starting a new warranty process for all 2009+ cars according to what we learned at the Arizona Automotive Council. I will try to get more info from SEMA when I go later this year.

I would like to know more about this as I was looking at picking up a 2009 5.3 Colorado.

Its not even because of customers. The new actions are coming about because of crooked dealers. Dealers have been charging labor to customers cars and charging for parts that they want to write off when the service is never being done to the cars that they bill them for.
So they are going to have a service module plugged into the 2009+ cars that makes the car be physically present for all warranty work so the bad dealers can't F GM over. This also means that they may or may not be able to pull your ECM codes etc on all 2009+ GM cars. We don't know what this holds in store for tuning on 2009+ cars.

Sounds ugly...let's hope it does nothing more than verify that it's really your car, kind of like the computer makes sure the CD is in your drive before you fire up your favorite game. (for those of us that actually use CDs...) If they start proactively looking for reasons to void warranties, trouble would follow.
Yeah for diagnostics.....not the other stuff.

I am noticing that power is held to a higher RPM on intercooled cars. That's about it, I don't have any hard CFM numbers. I have noticed that the cars with the "CAI" actually draw in hotter air.....oh the irony.

Wonder how the Cobalt intakes will fare compared to the stock set up. The sound is certainly sweet, but if it's going to hinder performance in any way, I'll save 200 bones and get a high-flow filter for the stock unit and live with a "quieter" car.

Pimplay... the SS/TC is extremely easy to tune. I have tuned my GF car night and day my friend. I got her up to 21PSI (mild tune she doesnt want more.. I wanted to get it up to at least 23PSI) a bit richer and more timing without knock and WOW just WOW!! P'm for the tune I can send it to you if you want
For the intake just get a K&N drop in filter cheap and easy. I love the new TC... 60$ K&N filter and 100$ 2 hptuners credits (I already have hptuners) 160$ and my GF ...TC is well over 300HP and 350torque with everything STOCK!!!

That is one of the biggest woes of HPTuners is that you practically have to be rich to use it. Not to mention know what you are doing to some degree.

Only problem is the only handheld out there (as far as I know) that'll do this is going for 4-digit pricing.
