yea it is very expensive and im scared to blow my motor up so I am not tuning this thing myself... and I think 1k for a tuner is way too much thats why I have not bought Hahn handheld tuner... If I wanted 50hp for 1k i would just buy nos and save 500 more bucks

you don't need a laptop, just set up a table outside and haul the desktop out w/ an extension cord

Wha? LOL.. As far as I know, it can log and change basic parameters from the handheld unit - then use the desktop PC for in depth work.

Psykostevo got a question. I have a friend that has HP tuners and he is more or less into the LS1 world and does not know much about the ss/tc. How much would you charge me for a file of your tune so I could upload it to my car through his program? I know it would be a canned tune but for now it would work just as long as the afr's are good and everybody is saying great things about your tune. Thank you.

The beauty of it is that the car manages AFRs through the stock wideband. They run SUPER-DUPPER lean from the factory (around 14.0 under WOT), and I have them richened up to 12.8.

PM me for the tune. I will definitely help you out.

Even at 12.8...it isn't super rich.

I clayed my car last night and gave it a good cleaning...not too much soot...which we SIDI guys/gals are gonna get.

No matter what.

Go ask the diesel guys, there is a way to get rid of soot. Soon we might all need intercooled exhaust tips.

Well, not really intercooled in the way most people think, but I think it sounds more fun that way. It actually uses the venturi effect to draw cold air into the exhaust to cool it down so you don't start fires/scald small children or your legs

Intercooled exhaust tips are like the ones you see from Borla that have the two walls spaced out w/ fins in between to change airflow characteristics.

It's not like there's a separate line to an intercooler. It just sounds funky; not as crazy in reality...

thats not the same as the tip on the diesels though, the one on the diesel serves a legitimate function

I know the diesel tips are different, but I could have sworn the Borla units were functional...

Do you have any hptuners logs, the airflow data either grams/sec or lbs/min should be there if you logged it.

I didn't save any logs. I just use them during tuning.

INTERESTING...

So get this. I am trying hard to get my Mustang business going, so I posted a thread asking other forum members on a Mustang site what they thought would be good ideas to start out with.

Thread was going well, and I got a lot of good feedback.

Then about a day after I started the thread some moderator comes through and deletes my thread, then puts a huge restriction on my member name. I can't post in threads, or even have any PMs except for 1. Which means if I deleted all my PMs I could send one then immediately delete it in hopes I would recieve a response.

I PMed a friend of mine on there to tell him the shenanigans, and say goodbye.

Then I PMd the moderator who gave me the infraction and told him how much of an idiot he was for doing that to me, and that a simple warning would have been more appropriate. Instead he ruined any thoughts I had of giving that site money to become a vendor. Why would I give money to a site who wanted to be a dick popsicle about everything?

So I got banned, which is what I figured would happen since I felt it neccesary to give that ass-wipe a piece of my mind.

I was even thinking to myself: "Even if I had the money to advertise my website, I probably wouldn't give any to Stangnet because they have a WEAK S197 section, hardly any activity etc, and I am trying to focus on the S197 market.
