Well, HPTuners can't touch them yet, but I am looking into other means for tuning anyhow. I have some serious help from some smart people.

I retract my previous statement........ I can tune '09s. Time to go drop $900 on credits.

Maybe. I am definitely getting the help on the 2.2L from Vince at Trifecta. And also having someone write me my LNF handheld tuners.

I thought buying the whole year was only 6 credits or $600 dollars?

BTW, since you do GM's and what not would it not be worth it just to spend the money to unlock EVERY GM car they support for 36 credits and call it a day?

I don't think you read that right on their website. It is $300 (6-Credits) to unlock one model year. I need to unlock Cobalts, Solstice, and Skys. And 36 credits won't unlock all GM cars. You couldn't barely unlock all of the Cobalts with 36 credits.

To unlock ALL of the GM cars it would cost 790 Credits at the cost of $19,750 and you would have to have 4 different HPTuners cables just to hold that many credits (250 credits per cable max)

Oh wow... okay I must be wrong big time... I could have swore when I installed my HPT pro I had read somewere unlock all GM cars for 36 credits...

But thanks for correcting me Steve

Id love to get my hands on a second computer and get it tuned, leaving my stock one stock so the numbers match if they ever check for changes to tunes, since supposedly they can track flashes - not the flash itself but some number wont match..

Only problem is 08 and 09 require a cluch relearn procedure, which cannot be done with an HP tuner right now..

08+ LNF can only get an additional ECM if the stock car has the clutch learn done on the ECM. It wont work if I have the dealer clutch learn from a different car. Tried that and filed 4 different ways. YOU have to hve YOUR dealer flash the stock program on your second ECM, then I can tune it and it will work.

I bought 42 ECMs last month, I buy them direct from GM. Price just went up too. they used to cost me around $400+dealer flash, now it's about $50 higher.

Thats exactly what Im talking about... try coming up with a good excuse for the dealer on why you need a stock flash and clutch relearn.....

Tell them you were storing your car while you were on a trip, so you unhooked the battery. When you hooked it back up, the car started once and then wouldn't start again. You unhooked the battery and hooked it back up, it started, so you drove it straight to the dealer. You don't know what the heck is going on with it, but you hope the dealer can figure it out.

That worked for the G6 ppl that got new ecms. When you plugged the new one in, the car would start once, then when you turned it off, it wouldn't start again untill the computer was reset.

Not trying to hijack - but this clutch relearn thing - how does it affect our opportunity for an aftermarket upgrade like a Spec unit? With several people (myself included) noticing clutch slippage after tunes, the last thing I want to have happen after a clutch install is find out that the car doesn't recognize something.

The excuse we have people say is "Just bought this on eBay for $150. Normally they are 550. I heard they are stopping making these cars soon and I want to have a backup just in case."

It has worked so far.

READ: The flash has to be done on the car to receive it. Flashing someone elses car and clutch learning on their car will not work on your car.

soo all u ask for is a dealer flash??? but u have to have it ON the car for it to work? So im guessing just bring it with u to the dealer and just have them put in the spare and tune it, then jsut use ur stocker and tune that one??

It's pedal position, not plate position.

Yup. But honestly, I prefer if you just pay to play and don't try to go back to stock and cry abuse.
