That will be a fun fight.

I can't wait to see the first factory twin turbo v6 Mustang GT.

Trust me GM has ALOT more money in the ECOtec than Ford does in the Ecoboost.

Plus Ford isn't as focused on Sport Compacts as GM is.

$100 for the tune - if you know how to tune.

$150 to PAY someone to cut your cat out and put in 3" piping

$250 = 330hp/425lb/ft
If you think your gonna get that much power with stock intake, piping, intercooler, and exhaust, you really are delirious

I don't have to think about it.

I've seen it.

I like what youre doing for the Lnf guys, it just seemed like you were flaming on the lsj's, and i didnt like it. If you didnt mean it like that then all is well, but i do know my stuff.
You must not know who I am then. I don't flame LSJ's. I made a living off the LSJ for the past 2 years. I more so excited about the future for LNFs. I've seen LSJs blow up making less power than the LNF. Reason: LNF runs about 70* cooler IAT2.

The mustang isn't s sport compact. I doubt they are shoving ecoboost in a focus.

exactly the reason for my planning on my turbo swap.

Can i ask you a question then??
What do you think of hahn's turbo kits?

lol, I'm aware.

They're thinking about it.

I just don't go around comparing Cobalt's to Corvette's like everyone else.

If they don't put an Ecoboost (hate that name) in a Focus then there is no comparison imho.

Technically the LNF has longer gears with the different final drive...sure, a lower redline, but longer gears.

I get your meaning, but I think your extreme hatred for turbos is causing you a little bias. You can "max out" the stock turbo with intake / exhaust / tuning.

On the stock blower for LSJ, you need that plus pulley, belt, injectors, 2nd heat exchanger, dual pass IC, meth, and whatever else you can think of to keep temps in check and to have the pistons last more than a week.

I don't hate turbos! Man, I don't know how many times I have to say that! If I had a decent sized V or inline 6, I would turbo it. A V8 wouldn't even be a question, turbo all the way. I hate turbo's on a really small engine (<2.5L).

I have seen Hahns Turbo kits, and I have also seen Hahn test turbo kits on other cars with my own eyes. He knows what he is doing.

If I had a motor bigger then a 2.0 i would go turbo. Dude really you need to just stop with your crying about turbo's. I really didnt like it when the LSJ's were always talking crap about the LE5, how it was a superior engine blah blah..............Now just plain and simple the LNF has more of everything. More base and more potential. So just stop.

People are funny. Its really halarious. These are the kind of guys, where if I'm talking to them at a car show or something, I just walk away mid sentence, because they hear whatever they want to hear, and know 100% that they are right. I just have to walk away and laugh.

FINAL STATEMENT: Neither the LSJ or LNF are decent motors from the factory. Compared to the RB26DETT, 2JZGTE, or 4G63, the ecotec family of motors (in stock form) are pieces of ****. End of story. If you want to make a lot of power, with an ecotec, your looking to spend A LOT of money, unlike with the other motors listed above. Just how it is. The stock LSJ blows up at ~300-350 whp, the LNF might last a little longer than that, and the LE5 is a little less strong, while the L61 is a joke. 4G63 stock bottom end can handle 450-500 whp, RB26DETT can take up to 800 hp on stock long block, many stock long block 2JZGTE's have made 800+ whp. Not comparable. Don't bring size into it either. LE5 = 2.4L, RB26DETT = 2.6L. Thats only a .2L difference.

You'd get better gas mileage, and make 3 times the power.

Direct injection does not run at a 14.7 AFR, so you burn less gas, and have less displacement.

I have been asked on the Solstice Forums "How can you raise boost AND get better gas mileage?" :slaps head: Because you should rarely be driving in boost!

That's the truth

You think hard driving a ton would cause some nasty heat soak?

Also you think the IDC measurement could be reading half?

Red2.4SS's 2.4 does...food for thought.

Please rephrase that question so that it is a little clearer.

I can't wait to see slightly modded LNF Cobalts kicking ass all over the track.
