Thanks, everyone! For those of you waiting patiently (or otherwise) for the EFR bolt-on- I am trying to speed things up whenever possible. There have just been delays from every angle, it seems. As I stated earlier, we are willing to build individual EFR setups for anyone doing a large build.
Think an individual efr setup could be done in a 3 day weekend? Work keeps me strapped on time and I'd have to drive 8 hrs, lol!!!

Not really sure. We have one guys here with a red truck, but I don't think he he's any ZZP stickers on it or anything. Might have just been a zzp customer.

Well, I suppose it might be possible, but we don't have a whole lot of people working on 3 day weekends so probably not.

Gotcha, well. I can wait for you guys to make the 5th injector and the EFR available to be ordered I suppose. Should have a decent build on my hands since I wont be dumping 6 grand into a trail rig this coming year.

@ Matt, does ZZP do anything with the 4 speed automatic trannies like build them up to hold more power and torque? Just curious.

Yes, we have done some 4t45e trans builds. I don't know the details of the modifications, but there are a few out there. I will see if I can find out some info.

Was it Pat? Dealer plate on truck, ZZP buttonup so it was someone dammit! I've done a couple dealings with Pat but I'm horrible with stuff like such.

Yeah, that sounds like Pat. He runs Fusion which is our car dealer/body shop, and he sells a lot of used parts.

This^ is the most important news in the thread. I am just salivating at the day a direct bolt on EFR kit is available.

I can see how that will happen already:

Step 1: Break out credit card
Step 2: Take day off from work to install turbo
Step 3: take remainer of day tuning
Step 4: Go hunting for kills...

Step 5: invest in tranny rebuild for when the Exedy hyper single claims my trans.

They run stock blocks with there girdle in place dude, you need to start looking around and quite talking about sleeving the motor, all it does is in turn makes the aluminum parts of the block weaker inherantly making the the whole motor weaker. Ryan's car made 1000 engine hp with a stock block with the zzp girdle. You have been told numorous times you don't need sleeves, but if you want to do it go ahead. My engine has about 675 crank hp as it sits and runs fine.

Matt, on your initial post you stated that you were running s2 cams. Was it a typing mistake or you guys are developing a stage 2 cams for the LNF?

Dude, if you're willing to spend 6 or 7k to build the engine, would you do it accordingly to what a couple of people tell you or you would do your best to find out as many info as possible? People always complain because on this site they don't do enough research, and if I try to search for info I have to hear things like that? When I bought my turbo kit I didn't know about zzp and now I regret not looking more into it, because I'm not fully happy with it. So, come to the conclusion yourself. I want to try to find out as much as possible, expecially since I'm thinking of doing the 2.1 setup which means boring the sleeves. I'm a little afraid to bore the stock ones, that's why I keep asking.
Besides, in the Bates sleeves thread, a lot of people with Darton sleeves wrote posts, and no one of them had any complain.
If it bothers you that I keep asking a lot about the sleeves, I apologize.
Christian

^^the only engines that I'm aware of needing to be sleeved for any build are crap to begin with - so the sleeving is a preventative measure;
the LNF shortblock, and any GM, ZZP, or otherwise testing shows no need for it....

/tangent.

@ Matt;
congrats on a conservatively shifted & cold track 10 second e/t!

maybe you can throw some extra parts in Gregs car when you're done with it!?

The thing is it even says in the zzp threads what there engines are made like. It has been proven on each one of the zzp motors they have in the community right now. It was also posted not long ago from zoomer about the reasons why sleeving the block are bad, you have to cut away some of the aluminum to fit the sleeves making the rest of the block weak. The sleeves in these motors are very strong to begin with, it is the block itself that is the weak part, again making these parts thinner will only make it weaker in the end. I dont mean to come off like I did but the zzp short block is the way to go. I think you looking into the 2.1 is also your best bet, no need for the 2.4, but if thats what you want you can do it. The 2.0 with zzp rods and wisecos and the zzp block will easily be good for 600whp with the right turbo set up.
