EcuFlash can be licensed for closed source use, which he must've already done if hes using it to make money. Otherwise he'd be breaking the license of the open source version (have to share your code with us gimps). No XML file needed in that case, just hard code it into the app... compile.. done. That would keep 99.98% of the populace out of your work.
The only hurdle you have after that is making sure people arent flashing 69 different VIN's with the same license , but I'm guessing he has that figured out.
I bet Vince just loves us making posts like this!
Off topic, but in doing some research on the Bosch MED9.6 ECU's... did you guys know the newer Ferrari California uses essentially the same setup we do for GDI?

LOL, Hey you gotta think about the kind of people you are dealing with here, a lot of us are savvy computer users , developers , programmers , IT guys .I am sure someone will eventually find a flaw and get the XML file reverse engineering it etc ...
I am just not that guy , HPT is a lot easier solution as of now but I think if vince changed his business model by allowing guys to tweak it here and their we would be all over it , not all of us want Vince as the primary tuner for their LNF and we all have different set ups and environments that require tuning and logging constantly .. Just my opinions ..

One of the main developers @ HPT just told us we won't have this functionality till at least after the new year. Ho hum... I'm sure all 47 people who've bought a Chrysler will appreciate all the hard work they've done on that platform.

Why is that targeted at me? I am in no hurry for fuel from HPT. Hell, i'm not in the hurry for fuel from anyone. I just want more control over some things like MAP rescaling, blah blah blah. I was just saying if we could control Trifecta on my laptop, I would be there, because Vince isn't going to forget the LNF in favor of Chrysler.
Or, did I miss something else?

considering there have only been around 3000 turbo SS's made, I'm happy there is ANY development on them (hardware like boltons or software like Trifecta's tune)
The reason I went with Trifecta instead of HPT is because of the Select Tune feature. I want stock levels of power normally, but when I want that extra kick in the pants, I just hit a button. In the future, the plan is to go with a h2o/meth injection setup - when I engage the Trifecta tune, it will also enable the pump/switch on the water/meth (and opens the cutout), so I only use it when going for max power and don't have to worry about keeping a tank full the rest of the time.
