Did you end up upgrading you valvesprings or anything as well, or did you just swap the cams?

It's only .008 lift more. If it was .200 extra then...Yeah, I'll have to upgrade the valve springs. I'm sure Equinox valve springs are softer than LNF valve springs.

Mongorat said it's not needed and Equinox valve springs are softer than LNF.

So I was looking at that spreadsheet you linked in the beginning of the thread. It only has the info for the LE5, and that exhaust cam has less lift than the LNF. Does Mongo have a spec sheet for the LEA cam? I tried searching google for specs but I can't find any info.

Edit: Nevermind, sort of. I just saw your post above

Me too, I've tried look for that info but only found LE5 then I asked Mongorat about it and he lead me to LEA exhaust camshaft. That's new to me and I haven't heard anything about it. No, I asked Mongorat about LEA exhaust camshaft lift and he didn't give me the info. But he said that LEA exhaust camshaft has bigger lobes than LNF. I dunno how much bigger that's what I'm gonna find out.

Ah Crap! I'm not that good at explaining things...I'm hoping somebody can chime in here and explain better than I am! LOL! Yeah, I know there's only how-to on LSJ. I've searched for how-to on LNF but there's none for LNF only LSJ. What I did was study them 1st and gather bunch of informations and go from there. I did get instructions paperwork from Chevrolet. That's what I did, only thing is that Chevrolet didn't say anything about that damn shim covered the crank timing mark.

i seen this but its lsj and includes valve springs and both cams. how different is the lsj installation compared to the lnf? and do you need the cam gear bracket?

Oh, I've searched and the only thing came up was Equinox intake camshaft...Not Equinox 2.4 LEA exhaust camshaft. If you say it did then wouldn't you mind to post up direct link to it ?

I'm in the same boat, until this thread I didn't know anything about the LEA camshaft. There are a couple of old threads about LE5 guys thinking about swapping in an LNF exhaust camshaft, but that's all I ever found.

That is for only intake camshaft not for exhaust camshaft. I'm talking about exhaust camshaft now. I already did the intake camshaft swap. Now, I'm swapping my exhaust camshaft...LE5 that I did mention here in this thread. Mongorat told me that LE5 has smaller lobes than LNF exhaust camshaft. LEA exhaust camshaft has bigger and better lobes exhaust camshaft than LNF exhaust camshaft.

I posted up on the CSS gang on facebook to see if anyone else had the answers and nobody does. Seems very strange that people are running these exhaust cams but nobody knows the specs on them...

So doing some digging on my own I found the part numbers for the 2 camshafts.

The 2010 LAF intake cam is P/N 12608300

The 2012 LEA exhaust cam is P/N 12604896

Hopefully using this someone can dig up the cam profile data.
