Valve cleaning

What do you guys think about this? Came across it in Google lol

Here is a trick I learned from a tech. I used to work with. It will enable anyone to use water to clean combustion chamber carbon by themselves without anyone's help.
If the car has a washer fluid resevior that is in working order, make sure it has only clean water in it. Disconnect the hose some where close to where it connects to the hood of the car and run it to the intake in a place that it will be evenly sucked into the manifold. Take off down the road and intermittently press the windshield washer button in the car. DO NOT OVER-DO IT. You just want to feel a slight stumble in the engine. I press the button down and release it quickly. Don't hold it down. A little water is all that is needed.
1987-90 Camrys with 3SFE engines would carbon up so badly that they sounded like a rod was coming out the side of the block. Most were lady-driven cars that never got ran aggressively. Toyota tried walnut blasters as well as GM top end cleaner with no fast results. Many Camrys got a little drink of water and purred like a kitten.
It can be overdone with damage resulting if you don't exibit restraint and common sense.

Old.

My grandfather use to do this stuff to his cars. Twice retired diesel mechanic. When he tore down his engines, they were so clean.

I wouldn't do it though myself.

Great idea though. What about using that as a meth injector? Lol

could pour seafoam or something similar and possible get good results.

Yea was thinking same, saw the how to seafoam video on here. The guy used a cup to to spay the seafoam into? Then used a hose to suck it up into the vac line on manifold ?

To what I've seen seafoam doesn't do anything on our cars

Someone mentioned it before but walnut blasting seems to have the best results

Meth injection with a port per intake runner should keep the back sides of the intake valves cleaned up. I'm sure that's been done somewhere.

Water in the intake is good for cleaning the combustion chamber, but I doubt it'll do anything for the backs of the valves. As far as I know, there isn't a liquid out there that you can run through your intake to clean off the carbon that GDI engine intake valves accumulate. Even if you could, why would you want to? Where would those big hard chunks of carbon go after they come off the valve stems? Right into the cylinders. You will have to remove the intake manifold and physically scrub or blast the deposits off and vacuum them out.

After the valves are clean i think meth or even just concentrated washer fluid will keep them clean. Its definitely not going to clean already dirty valves though.

This wouldn't work for meth injection cause the washer pump doesn't have enough pressure to vaporize the fluid. And why would u want to suck water into ur intake like that? Not the smartest idea. If u put a meth nozzle on each intake runner u better have a flow gauge for each one, cause u can easily blow a cylinder if one isn't working right. I have a manifold with this setup at home , didn't use it for that reason. Anyone want it? Lol
