ZZP PCM Install
tried installing it on my cobalt(2009 SS) this weekend and not letting my car start. Went through the whole security check thing, still nothing, and the security light isnt on anymore.
Any ideas??
Ask questions if you need more info to help me get this working
works fine with old PCM
thanks

Mine took a long time. You have to turn the car to on, and wait until the security light flashes (about 15 min). You then turn the car off and repeat another 2 times. Then start it and it should work.
If that doesnt work, PM me

I am not sure what the site says.
I believe I was the first person to have their tune on a different PCM, so we both had a hell of a time.
I got mine to have a spare PCM, and to have a good base tune until I got all my parts.
I couldn't have been happier with it, but I did just tune over it last week with TF, to actually "tune" for my parts.
It is VERY comparable to the GMS1 parameters I now run as my base tune, and was excellent for a mail tune

When you turn it to on, without starting, the security light should be SOLID. After a period (~15 min) the light will go off and begin to flash. After 2 or 3 flashes, turn the car off, count to five, and repeat twice.
Ill check for my email from stattama, but that was a long time ago, and I am nearly positive it is far gone

That's where my problem is, I did that, now there is no light. And it doesn't turnover, or try to start.
After 10 minutes or so light went off, then repeated like 5 times. Light doesn't show anymore and car doesn't start =\
Starts right up with old pcm

Are you turning the ignition off for 5 seconds before attempting every restart? This is what they told me when my security light wouldn't come back on after the second try...

You shouldn't have to do it 5 times. Did the light stay out after your 4th start attempt? Mine did and I had to try to start a few times (turn ignition off, wait 5 seconds, and start) You shouldn't have to wait 10 minutes for a 4th time!

I suggest you try it again from scratch tomorrow. Once the security light stays out, you should notice a difference when you try to start. It took another 4 tries after that for me but the good thing is once it starts once, it will always start after that... Good luck and let me know how it works out. If it still doesn't work, contact Matt at ZZP (stattama@aol.com).
He's been very helpful to me. Now go to bed, its after midnight by you!

here is the security relearn:
1. Depress the clutch and try to start the car. If it does not turn over, let off, but leave the key in the run position. The security light should be lit up on the dash.
2. Wait 10 minutes(you can open the door and get out). The security light on the dash will turn off after 10 minutes.
3. Turn the key off for 5 seconds, then depress the clutch and try to start the car. If it does not turn over, let off, but leave the key in the run position. The security light should be lit up on the dash.
4. Wait 10 minutes(you can open the door and get out). The security light on the dash will turn off after 10 minutes.
5. Turn the key off for 5 seconds, then depress the clutch and try to start the car. If it does not turn over, let off, but leave the key in the run position. The security light should be lit up on the dash.
6. Wait 10 minutes(you can open the door and get out). The security light on the dash will turn off after 10 minutes.
7. Turn the key off for 5 seconds, then depress the clutch and try to start the car. The car should start on this attempt.
There is also a case relearn, where you rev the 2k rpm and let off
