Zzp stage 4 clutch
Well I just dropped 3000$ on zzps website! I ordered a zfr and stage 4 south bend clutch. Now I have read about many slave/tob nightmares. Have you guys been ok with the ced lnf tob? I want to do this once and never again! I ordered the oem flywheel, bolts clutch and I am getting ready to purchase the tob and clutch pipe. Also I need a clutch alignment tool I'm assuming the zzp one for 5.99$ on their website will work?? Was there ever an explanation for the massive failure of the throw out bearings? Also is there anything else I am missing for this clutch install I got somebody to help me with more experience. Also the redline mt90 is good for the lnf correct? I would just hate to have to rip this apart three times over a tob failure as someone else on this forum did! What about this clutch rod I'm hoping its not completely necessary.

The TOB is hit or miss. The most important thing is to get a new one and make sure you bleed it properly. Best to bleed it before you put it all back together. Replacing the clutch pipe is a good idea also, good job on that.
I'm sure the clutch comes with an alignment tool but if it doesn't, then get one. Email them to make sure its the one you'll need. Just use the factory Trans fluid. It works very well.

Yes you need a vacuum bleeder. As a side note a spark plug socket can be used as an alignment tool if you dont have one....i did with mine and after 8-10k miles everything is fine. As for whats harder...my clutch job was a bitch. Ran into problem after problem. Now if i hadnt encountered all the issues it would have been a breeze. From what i hear the turbo install isnt difficult but again...what problems will arise that will make it so?

If you have less than 30K on your stock TOB, and it's still working fine, then I don't see any reason to replace it. The normal reasoning is because you already have it apart, why not put a new part in there? That reasoning doesn't work for the LNF/LSJ TOB's because 20% of the new units fail. I'd say stick with one you know works.
One guy that blew through 3 new TOB's had the wrong pressure plate sent to him by KY. Man, he was going insane until he found that.
