Oh well it happenend now nothing you can do about it. However I would question these "friends". They knew they were ******* the clutch up well before it happened. The first time it grinded they should of stopped driving it. If there is more than one of them I would demand them to split the cost 3 ways between all three of you. Secondly if they do not I would never talk to these ******** again. When I grind a clutch I am fully aware of what is going on and think to myself ooo better not do that again. What douche bags

No they shouldn't. He's the idiot that let them drive his car. It's HIS responsibility.

they told him they knew how to drive. and they didn't. which means they lied, and as a result of that fact the car got messed up.

it'st not anyone's fault either way, i think they should split it.

If i drove your car and fucked it up, you wouldn't make me pay for it?

It doesn't matter. His car = his responsibility. I'd laugh in someone's face if they let me drive there car, i fucked it up and they said i had to pay for it.

if you drove a friends car, and fucked it up, you would laugh at them when they asked you to help pay for the repairs? then you're one hell of a shitty friend. that's just not right. with that attitude, i'd be surprised if you even had any friends.

that's what i'm saying. if it was a very good friend of mine, or my brother or something, and they said they knew how to drive stick, i would let them drive my car. but if they lied and really had no idea what they were doing i'd be pissed as all hell.

Let it cool down for a long good while then drive it for a while while shifting between 3500-4000. If it still is shot yah your prolly gonna need a new clutch.

how fast you drive doesn't matter to the clutch. just go easy on the clutch when you're shifting.
