no you dont need to do a relearn when you replace the cam sensor

I could understand the cold air intake thing but any opinions on getting a tune just to run one?

You could always do trifecta. He ships you the cable to load the tune, for a fee, and then refunds you the fee for the cable or you will need to find someone with HP Tuners

What I'm saying has anybody els heard of my problem happening to someone because they put a cai on without getting a tune afterword??

yes it has happend it can skew the maf chainging the fueling

Ah ok we're thinking outside the box enough now haha but why would it only start skipping once the motor warmed up to 151degrees? Because it goes into closed loop and the sensors start picking up the different intake?

I had the same thing happening to me. Replaced everything i could. Come to find out my injectors were getting plugged with nasty dirt powder.. Check your fuel rail for some nasty dirt powder,and pulse the injectors and back flush them out.

This was on my 07

Ok, see I didn't do a relearn. I'm still wondering if its the cai why skip an misfire at 151?

there is only one cam sensor you dont need to relearn when you replace it the crank it is supposed to have a relearn now plenty of people have replaced the crank sensor and not had to do a relearn the only time you need to do a relearn is if it is throwing the code for it

because your going from open to closed loop the maf or o2 dosent read in open loop its all ve based

Mine is the 2.0 with only one cam sensor, so should I have or have not done a relearn?

if it isent throwing the code for a case relearn you do not need to do it

Ill have to go about seeing if I have a leakdown tester in my toolbox at home, not sure though.

TLDR. All ima say is u need thre3 things to make an engine wang. suck, squeeze, bang, and blow. you aint got one of those bitche$ and the $hit aint nakin powA. Put some redline oil in itl, and just throttle through the misfire. I would also put some platinum plugs in it to make sure that max boost is hit before knock retard.

I agree ^, I bought new ngk's gapped at .044" and misfire is gone. I would regap those plugs.

LoL ^ mine did the same ****! parden my french but my bolt got lodged between the timing chain, and the side wall thank god it didn't bust my chain.. glad to see GM made that a common issue for us.. wtf.. And its a loud tick.. mine sounded like a VW diesel...

Did a seafoam, upped my compression and makes the misfire go away when the a/c is turned on. Getting somewhere now lol
